he moved there because they guaranteed him the keepers gloves
Cheers Herbie.

Started the team 5 mins before first ball last night - struggling to get Tye in, with Carey's score (on my bench). Would really help if he didn't play this week (rain dance time!)

WK 2 is pretty much like GK 2 in EPL, Buttler/Lenton , Handscomb/Dunk, Nevill/Philippe can all be piggy backed together
I could be wrong but i think alot of Carey owners would have him at WK1.

Different strokes for different folks in the end. I'm by no means an expert!

Cook has to be 12th man as a minimum

him/McAndrew/Rainbird to fight out the final spot

have I missed something with Patterson

Buttler locked into open, Ferg at 3 or 4

On the VC score thing, if I already had a loop I'd bank 130 without a second thought.
But would I manufacture a loophole in round 1 for the sake of that score? No.

and I think Tye will always be a chance to take wickets. he'll bowl his last 2 overs at the death so the batting side will be taking risks, they wont just see him off.

smarter money than mine would be to leave the GK1 position open for the C possible loop option

speaking of GK I need a new one in EPL, Ederson is boring me

hahaha just posted this

would take Carey and/or Rashid Khan VC's score in a heart beat

given the opportunity to loop , utilise it

however given where my ranking is going to be at the end of week 1, I probably need to learn how to play this game conservatively

just my opinion

Like most, I have some really good sites for AFL supercoach, but are really struggling to find anything similar for BBL supercoach when it comes to tables of player scores, breakevens, salary predictions, averages, history etc.
I must admit I have no idea how people do all that stuff and I'm so grateful to them for making it available, but does anyone now if any such site(s) exist for BBL Supercoach? Thanks.
where is the dislike button ? :) boo

we have it all here, guaranteed if I don't win the comp, the winner will be a member (or moderator , or the owners brother) here

Looking at the weather if anyone has VC'd Carey or Khan then I personally would be looping. Even if one of the other options goes bigger you aren't going to be giving a huge amount of points away, and on the other hand if games get washed out you will be well ahead. No-brainer for me (pity I didn't VC one of them!)

If you are prepared to do the work you can find the stat.s for every significant T20 tournament on: http://www.espncricinfo.com/
For example, here is the page for all the BBL07 stat.s: http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/series/1114852.html?view=records

You won't find any of the SC data - scores/BEs etc - but you can get some idea of what to expect in terms of the actual cricket.

Well done to Carey owners.

I am hoping Buttler goes huge in Canberra.

Buttler (Dunk)

Tye, Khan, Qadir, Ur Rahman, Pattinson (Laughlin, J.Edwards)

Trades next week

Lynn - Short, Willey - Watson, Tye - Bravo

Stars unveil ‘Wild Thing’ for BBL opener

Injury-hit Melbourne franchise announce two new signings ahead of season opener against Sydney Thunder.

Melbourne Stars have named two new signings to bolster their injury-hit squad for their KFC BBL opener on Friday night, including a young quick who bowled "rockets" at England last summer.

Twenty-year-old Western Australian Lance Morris has been named in a 13-man squad to take on Sydney Thunder in Canberra, picked alongside NSW batsman Nick Larkin.

Morris replaces injured quick Dan Worrall in the Stars’ squad while Larkin comes in for big-name recruit Nic Maddinson, who has been ruled out until the new year with a broken arm.

Morris is a raw right-armer who was handed a rookie contract with WA earlier this year and has already made a big impression on his state teammates.

"We call him 'The Wild Thing', he bowls very, very quick," Warriors allrounder Hilton Cartwright told cricket.com.au in September.

"He played in the WA XI against England last year and he bowled rockets.

"Even when he bowls off about five steps in the nets, he still bowls rockets. He's definitely one to watch."

The raw but unpredictable ability of Morris was on display in a tour match against the touring England side in Perth last summer; having found the edge of opener Mark Stoneman to slip, the next ball Morris bowled was a wild bouncer to skipper Joe Root that the wicketkeeper grabbed high above his head in front of first slip, with the umpire signalling a wide.

Having spent the off-season sidelined by a serious back injury, the right-armer took figures of 6-35 in a Toyota Future’s League match against Queensland a month ago.

The Stars are set to play two leg-spinners against the Thunder in the form of Adam Zampa and Nepalese teenager Sandeep Lamichhane, with veteran tweaker Michael Beer also in the squad.

Larkin has been called in to add batting depth to a top order that will be led by skipper Glenn Maxwell, allrounder Marcus Stoinis and wicketkeeper Ben Dunk.

The Thunder, meanwhile, have named star England recruits Jos Buttler and Root for their first matches of the season, with NSW left-hander Kurtis Patterson not selected in their 13-man squad.

The match is the first of two Thunder ‘home’ games that will be played at Manuka Oval this season, with a return to Canberra to take on the Hurricanes locked in on February 9.
