2nd Test - Daar & Gaffaney
3rd Test - Gaffaney & Wilson
4th Test - Erasmus & Palliyaguruge
5th Test - Dharmasena & Erasmus
I've got no idea of the protocol, but in such an important series surely Daar and Wilson need to have their positions in the second and third tests reviewed (lol). Absolute disgrace what they have dished up this test.

me neither , Ranjan Madugalle is the match referee so surely he has to do a report to someone in the ICC on the standard , even before the public backlash.

maybe they need to rethink the need for 2 neutral umpires.

I wonder if the 2 captains are required to provide feedback ?

not sure if they have any middle order batsman coming through but don't think Stokes , Buttler , Bairstow is the right combo at 5-7.

Agreed. I’d shift Buttler to WKP and move Bairstow to someone else.

Maybe Ali Cook is still available?! :p

1 of Bairstow or Buttler needs to go , do they find a batsmen or Buttler gets the gloves or they bring in Foakes ?

Sir Alistair would be better than Roy , Denly doesn't look much either.

Couple of young openers making county runs so maybe Roy bats 4.

Is Ian Bell still playing ?

Your team has more issues than ours , or are you a Aussie again ? ?

I do like dark clouds were hovering around just as it was too late for Poms to have any hope of rain coming saving them.

Pretty special win for so many of these players. If you said around two years ago Paine, Wade and Pattinson would be in same team to win Test in England would have got long odds any of them playing Test cricket again. Patto looked like injuries may never let him get back, Wade looked like stamped to never be picked again as keeper (well half of that was right...lol) and Paine was ready to retire from first class cricket and give his damaged fingers a break and take up a career with Kookaburra. Now they are all there. Siddle too may have thought played his last Test. Cummins like Patto at one point had broken down so many times he may never get back. Then there is the trio suspended for 12 months. Warner and Bancroft at times may have thought they never get given a chance again. Smith was always likely to get given another chance.
Just weird probability this exact 11 would play in a Test together and go from 8 for 122 on day one to winning the same Test by over 250 runs.
Crazy!!!!

Steyn announces retirement from Test cricket

Steyn ends his Test career as South Africa's highest wicket-taker with 439 scalps at an average of just 22.95.

He also has the fifth best strike rate among retired cricketers in Test cricket (qualification: 2000 balls), behind George Lohmann, JJ Ferris, Shane Bond and Sydney Barnes.

One of the absolute modern day greats

Brendon McCullum, the former New Zealand captain, has called time on his cricket career four years after his international retirement. The ongoing Global T20 Canada, where he is representing the Toronto Nationals, will be his last.
