Don't recognise most of that WI team.
What a sad decline over the years.
I suspect that the decline of the Windies relates to an increase in professionalism by other countries. The Windies were fabulous when I grew up but in those days a lot of players got to the top with sheer natural ability. Yes technique was required but I do not think there was much in the way of formalised training and teaching the way it is done now. On pure natural ability the Windies were superb athletes and they did not have the competition of other sports like basketball back then. Hence they were more than competitive. Then Australia started a Cricket academy back in the late 1980's and started to develop players from an early age in a professional approach. I don't think the Windies had anything formalised like this until early 2010's (might be wrong on that). On top of this they had pay issue as well. They got left behind and just having pure natural ability isn't enough these days.

Bison captain for the T20I series v West Indies

David , Head , Marsh , Maxwell , M Short , Stoinis , Warner

Inglis , Wade

Abbott , Behrendorff , Ellis , Hazlewood

Zampa

Cummins , Smith , Starc all managed

bit disappointing they didn't select Bartlett and McGurk for this series

14 + 3 managed , seems they have their WC Squad pretty much locked in , imagine Agar would come into reckoning as the second spinner

Fantastic effort this from the WI to last this long into the day. Hoping they manage to get through the last 6 overs and bat about a session into tomorrow. Might be a tough ask, but they are definitely grinding the Aussies down here.
