Australia play first so Afghanistan have the information advantage too.
I was trying to work it out earlier - the curtailing of the innings against Bangladesh complicates the equation a little - but I think the relevant numbers are something like this:
* Australia has to win by about 40 runs to go ahead of India on NRR.
* If Australia wins by any margin, Afghanistan have to win by about 40 runs more to go past Australia on NRR
* If India wins or the game is washed out, Afghanistan just have to win
(I just checked and Cricinfo has it updated, it's 41 runs for Australia, and 35 runs more than Australia for Afghanistan. Haven't done too badly there!)
