When do we start talking about Smudge nearing the end ?

Was just thinking would it be better for Konstas learning and development to get him around the Test Squad for the remainder of the series or just leave him with the Thunder where he may/may not even get game time ?

Get him with the squad as the spare bat, send Inglis back to the scorchers. Everyone wins then.

Certainly helps Big Bash if both Inglis & Webster are released (be surprised if we get both)

Not sure why they didn't release one of Abbott or Doggett to play Shield , Hazlewood been training and seemingly on target for Brisbane.

Smudge and Khawaja both... Can't drop them and expect them to come back. Do they get given a nudge to retire?

Smudge can get a nudge when Green is back.

McSweeney did all the hard work last night then didn't carry on with it today , so still not sure about him at this level.

England showed what can happen when you take a punt on a kid (Bethell) so get Konstas in for Khawaja sooner rather than later

West Indies tour is now a 3 Test series instead of the originally scheduled 2.
