14 cars in the race, the Haas and the Alfas are right out of the way now.

Williams just have to finish to get a point - and they might get them like London buses!

Well, that's a lot to unpack. Vettel has lost his 2nd place finish as there wasn't enough fuel left in his car at the end to provide a sample. So Hamilton moves up to 2nd and Sainz is 3rd.

Word is Aston are looking to appeal, so results will be some time before they're finalised.

I think results are finalised based on podium presentation?

EDIT: I was wrong. From the game rules:
  • All scores will be FINAL once published and based on the OFFICIAL results provided a few hours post-race, when results are added. Any future rulings, applied penalties or changes to results will NOT be retrospectively adjusted in the competition.
What is really weird - The official results are still showing Vettel P2 despite the main landing page on the F1 site calling the DSQ. Chris Medland on twitter also suggesting the "final" results (pre-hearing) are Vettel P2.

Either way, would suggest the Sportsdeck guys will be doing some had scratching this morning and we won't open until evening tonight.

Three trades for me (I may need a race to drop off the calendar to deal with all of the extra trading I have done recently).

Out: Red Bull, Norris, Sainz
In: Ferrari, Hamilton, Leclerc

Hamilton C, Max, Bottas, Leclerc
Mercedes, Mercedes, Ferrari, Ferrari

Was planning on waiting one more round to trade Norris to Hamilton, but Hamilton looked great in practice and it looks like the right move after qualifying.
Will be surprised if you're not top 5 at open!
The bare minimum of RB exposure and a great captain choice. I went in with the same line up but Max C

If only I had trusted my gut and brought Sainz in instead of Leclerc...

So happy for Ocon and Alpine though. What a result!

Hamilton taking the second start by himself will live with me for a long time.

Yeap they arent great at the best of times. This one isnt easy. The articles ive read say hamilton and sainz are 2nd and 3rd. Whatever they do, if the appeal would change those results, they wont be retrospectively updating this rounds scores

Thank you. Lets see what happens. Crazy results. Surprised nobody has mentioned gasly pinching fastest lap from hamilton. Thats 80 missed points for many of us.

Mercedes over the last 2 races showing the best way to win the Championship is to just take your main opponent out and cop whatever lenient penalty is imposed whilst cruising to a big points haul.

F1 immediately needs to change the rules regarding engine penalties from crashes that where not a teams fault. Both Max & Checko now likely to get 10 grid drops later in the season massively affecting both championships... for what was Mercedes fault both times... that's not right.

Neither is the huge repair bills Red Bull are facing in which all that damage counts against Red Bulls cost cap... once again for what was Mercedes fault both times.

Yep, I have no problem with them being racing incidents and the drivers receiving the appropriate penalty, but it's very unfair for the team to cop backroom penalties for those incidents.

Still not open. I don't really mind this, it's not like there's any rush with Belgium not til the 29th. Might as well wait til the appeal is heard now and get it right.
Maybe the person who updates it had the day off yesterday. It's now updated. They've assumed Vettel is a DSQ.

I scored 706 points and moved up 3 spots to 7th overall.

622, down 7 spots, but now the equal highest team value in the top 100 (along with Wolffy and a couple others).

About a par result I'd say
Thats great. Team value only captures the value of the drivers and cars selected that round, but doesnt include money in the bank. That's why a lot of coaches appear to have exactly the same team value.

Score: 703
Rd Rank: 153
Overall Rank: 147 (from 224)

Very happy I traded Red Bull to Mercedes but unfortunately traded both Sainz and Alpha Tauri to Riccardo and Ferrari costing a potential 750 or 800 in what was a difficult round for all. Thoroughly enjoying my first attempt at F1 and have done quite well so far without watching any of the racing action, largely thanks to the helpful and astute members here.

Only the one trade so far:
Out: D Riccardo
In: E Ocon

Yep for sure, given teams generally use their budget reasonably well it serves as a good proxy though

630, holding position at 56.

Two big 50/50s went wrong for me in the last two weeks - taking a McLaren over a Ferrari at Silverstone and Leclerc over Sainz this round. Lost 76 points with the car (not to mention last week which was another 40 or so from memory) and 97 with Leclerc. Really killed the chance of taking advantage of a weak round for RB...
