625, up 2 to 30.

Decided to hold and captain Max which probably propped up the score a bit. Traded bottas to ocon which was the right call, and leclerc to sainz which was lineball in terms of whether it was worth a trade.

I've prepared some driver and teams break evens going into round 13 which is this weekend.

Drivers: Russell -85, Ocon -74, Latifi -21, Gasly -17, Schumacher -5, Tsunoda 4, Vettel 7, Kimi 13, Alonso 16, Gio 16, Mazepin 32, Dan Ric 38, Sainz 49, Stroll 61, Leclerc 114, Hamilton 115, Max 132, Perez 132, Norris 148, Bottas 160

Teams: Williams -84, Alpine -37, Alpha -8, Haas 2, Alfa 26, Aston 61, Ferrari 100, McLaren 123, Mercedes 175, Red Bull 179

My ranking fell and it wasn't even a proper race?
You probably aren't alone. A number of teams (many outside of our league) benefitted from just leaving Max as captain. Had I known there wouldn't be a race, I'd have traded out Bottas as a 5 place grid penalty hurts when you can't make up places. But you might make your way back past those teams pretty quickly if we get back to some 'normal' F1 races.

Was the hit on points I took worth it?
The likely answer is yes with Max and Red Bull losing considerable coin. Max lost $2.4M and each of the Red Bull cars lost $3.2M. We also have 10 races left so there is plenty of time to utilise your extra team value.

Max definitely has the potential to reach and go beyond his BE, but Red Bull are unlikely to increase in value. So if you need to keep them out for one more round, it's an option.

What does a full premo team look like?
It's going to involve two Red Bull cars, two Mercedes cars and Max and Lewis for sure. But the last two drivers could come from any of Bottas, Perez, Norris, Leclerc and Sainz based on current averages. Assuming a 'normal' weekend, it does feel like Bottas would appear in the top 4 more often than the others, but they will all be priced similarly shortly.

What does the new F1 calendar mean?
Its now a 22 race calendar, down from 23. It's unlikely Sportsdeck will take 2 trades off everyone so there should be more trade opportunities on the table. And the current calendar still has Turkey which is on the UK's red list...and Mexico...and Brazil...

Trades
Still plenty of opportunity to make money if required. Russell is guaranteed a $1.8M increase and Ocon another $1.6M. Williams will go up $1.8M, Alpine will increase at least $800K and $200K for Alpha Tauri. Personally, I'm within about $3M of a full premo team, so my trades are centred around points, whilst holding Ocon to try to catch up to Perez/Norris/Leclerc/Sainz next round.

Out: Sainz, Ferrari, Alpine
In: Max, Red Bull, Red Bull

Max C, Hamilton, Bottas, Ocon
Mercedes, Mercedes, Red Bull, Red Bull
Bank $3M

Initial thoughts are to go full cash this round and hopefully be somewhere close to full premo for Monza.

OUT: Leclerc, Ferrari
IN: Russell, Red Bull

Max C, Hamilton, Ocon, Russell
Merc x2, Red Bull, Alpine
$20.4m bank

That bank puts me $8.7m off Perez, Norris, RB for my three cash cows, and on Wolffy's numbers they're going to be half way to making that even if they all score 0. Could go Alpine to Williams for the extra guaranteed cash but they might get caught up on race results. Who knows!

Tsunoda -OUT : Gasly -IN
Bank is $29M.
I feel like I'm well behind in the upgrade stakes, still much to learn.

Hopeful Alpine can throw some money at Williams on behalf of Piastri
Not the names people may be expecting but I could see Gasly or Kyvat in the conversation for the Williams seat. Gasly couldn't be doing much more at Alpha Tauri but it seems he won't be getting back into the Red Bull team. Kyvat would provide good experience also and might enjoy an opportunity outside of the Red Bull setup.

Piastri could be a shot at an Alpine seat in 2023 if Alonso doesn't go around again.

Ferrari 1-2 in free practice. I'm not familiar with this track, but apparently it's not the easiest for passing. I was planning on trading out Ferrari, but maybe they are on for a good round based on that form.

Be a shame if he got a penalty from the footage I saw yesterday...

Max was on his fast lap and coming at high speed, while the other car was very slow and off to the side to let Max overtake him.

Max looked to lift right off as soon as he saw the red flag... but he still would have shot past the slow car as a result of the different speeds each car was traveling at... Looked worse than it was I reckon.
