Has anybody got any information on the proposed 18 player positional changes?
Mentioned on the FF tweet and the linked podcast.
Not sure if these proposed changes would be just for AF only, that wouldn't seem right.
I suppose there has been a precedent with Blicavs becoming Ruc/Mid last year after starting just as Mid.
Apparently these 18 player positional changes are to be released Thursday.
As I understand it none of these 18 players will lose their current position, but rather gain DPP.

Just had a look at the tweet. The tweet came from the AFLFantasy twitter handle representing them so I assume it won't be for SC.

Further, what on earth are they thinking? Changing the goal posts mid season! Ridiculous!

live pass quality is very good this year, i recommend giving it a try! worth the $90 for the season if you dont have foxtel

On a positive note, atleast the split first round won't be there next year, can imagine there being a large pack leading the way and plenty of 'cookie cutter' sides with not very much separating a lot of teams...

Yep, if that were applied to Supercoach, I'd be headed straight to the Westgate. Just what I'd need. Another reason to rue the early Higgins trade.

Interesting decision to make positional changes mid-season. I don't hate it but it really advantage/disadvantages coaches over the byes in particular.

Considering the amount of time we put into selecting a balanced squad I would hate it if they did that. The only way I would accept DPP changes is if they declared it would happen before the season starts. So the rules would say "In round 7 and round 14 we will give extra players DPP". Hence you can take a punt in certain players being given DPP. But still...

..and they're also naming more player DPP status in those comps before the start of Round 16!

If they were ever to introduce this in Supercoach it would make the possesion of those player heat maps very important.

I'm still trying to work out on afl.com.au site with player ratings why Prestia is in the Defender category.
Got me mystified. I thought they use heat maps but the bit I see of Gold Coast he is one of their main 4 or 5 mids and if not in mids would have thought take a breather down forward maybe...
