As a boy doing morning paper rounds I used to see Tommy nearly every morning, while he was out running (talking mid to late 1970's here). I'd always call out "Hey Tommy!" and he'd smile, give a wave, and keep running. 90 minutes later, when I was riding to school, my path took me past his house. Quite often I'd see him again, either just returning from his run, and 300 push ups and 300 sit ups, or out washing his car. He would have been in his late 40's then, and he was fitter than most AFL (then VFL) footballers were in those days. Incredible man.

Great story Rowsus. It was the first thing that came to mind when i saw the recent footage of him. For an older bloke, gosh he was in good nick!

Work colleague: So what do you think of the budget?

Me: Well I downgraded last week so I have plenty of cash. I just have to decide if to get Selwood this week or wait until next week and get another round 8 premium player this week.

Work colleague: You and your bloody supercoach obsession! So should I get Bartel this week?

***New Supercoach Rules***

The age of entitlement is over. Next year you will only have $9 million to spend on your teams. We still expect you to score the same though.

If a player is injured, there's no option to trade him out unless you pay a $5,000 fee on his current price.

If that player is out for more than 4 weeks you wont be able to trade him at all.

When you sign up, you have to wait 6 months before you are able to edit your team.

All Players in their 4th season or lower get an automatic -10ppg handicap.

I heard a new feature has been added for 2015, but it has an expected start date of 2018, or perhaps 2020? It is called "SuperCoach Defense", this allows you once per round to "airstrike" one of your opponents premiums and cause them to only score 50% of their rounds score. Use it carefully, as the programming and possibly wings of the new "SC Fight the Jets" app may fail at any time!

Read about that, sounds good but you have to nominate 8 weeks in advance who the player is.

Does anyone else plat dreamteam on here?
Yep, I put almost zero time into it and am sitting 1019th. It's 700 points behind the leader though and so not a real chance to take down the $$$. Still, $40k with only 35,000 entrants is pretty good odds compared to SC!

The odds are pretty good.
Format the same as super coach, just different scoring.
I'm using it to get the urge to trade out of my system.
Doing ok, currently 310 off the leader (66th) so should spend more thought on it.

If you emergency loophole someone during the bye rounds, would it be included in the best 18 if they are in the top 18 scorers for you that round?

No but I am considering playing Dreamteam or AFL Fantasy next season, if it's pure counting numbers.
I really despise scaling and other unknown formulas.
I think a guy contributing to keeping a team within 4 goals of the opposition is just as or more important than the guy that kicks the goal to put them in front with 2 minutes left.

I do play but its just a poor mans Supercoach. Fantasy is the worst cant stand the website and the scoring system. I just look at it on a Friday and do some trades and see how i scored the other week. Next year i will be just doing Supercoach and cutting the other fluff out. Supercoach is a more real score of how they played in the match and is more enjoyable
