Interesting... So does that mean the Crows & Power will get no more games in SA this season then. That's going to be hard.

Edit... I guess the VIC clubs could always fly from the Perth Hub to Adelaide on their way home and play 2 games, think that is allowed.
I think that's the plan to fly them here from WA or from NSW/QLD and being able to count the 14 days iso in another state.

Maybe

Changes every hour.

Port might need to relocate to Tassie like their was talk of years ago b4 Kochie came along.

Are all the gas/mining companies throughout the country still operating under FIFO conditions or how are they coping ?

FIFO still happening I believe. From memory Perth has had the smallest traffic declines amongst the major airports as a result.

I have no idea of the FIFO numbers around the country but imagine it could be in the thousands.

Borders closed to majority of interstate/international FIFO workers. WA Gov offering incentives to get people to relocate. I am sure there are exceptions/exemptions though.

let's see

detention island on Christmas Island fits your criteria ?

isn't that where they originally went from China ?
Sounds harsh, but I think off shore quarantine should have been in place for everyone flying in from overseas. We likely wouldn't have this problem if it was.

I do find it a bit ironic that less intelligent species like horses can quarantine safely in this country without problems, but humans can't.

As this is the Rd 5 topic though, enough on that. Sounds like Dusty may be in for at least another quiet game - almost tempted to trade him out now if I can afford to do it with a 146 BE. Anyone else thinking the same, or is this crazy.

I am a big believer in doing things right , so would have quarantined people properly from the start.

Interesting the US had 52,000 new cases today , but yes back on track.

I have Dusty on my watch list to bring in but might wait awhile now.

79 , DNP , 81 since resumption so plenty of other options.

Impractical to put 700,000 people off shore for two weeks and transferring 350,000 each week in and another 350,000 out. That's the approximate number of international passengers late March/early April. A bit like trading premiums in and out on a weekly basis and expecting to have a completed team in time to benefit from doing so. So unless, Dusty nets you enough loose change to turn a rookie into a keeper, it's probably not worth it.

Harsh, but fair. The answer appears to be I don't quite have enough cash, so I have decided against it. Thanks for confirming it's probably not a good idea.

As for the rest, spoilers as it's not footy related.
Wasn't aware it was anywhere near those sort of numbers coming into the country now (which is what I was referring to), and I was referring to the numbers we were getting arriving once they decided to start releasing restrictions rather than those in March (which I assume would be MUCH lower than 700K).

Hotel quarantine seemed to work OK with everyone else locked down, probably as there was a lot less chance of it spreading to the community once they left quarantine, but it hasn't worked for some reason now that restrictions have been eased. Something has obviously not been done right, I will admit I'm no expert, but there was clearly some failure in the quarantine system for the virus to spread.

I am aware you rely on tourists and would understand the situation a lot better than me, 700K tourists per fortnight is impractical for off shore quarantine, yes. I thought it was under 10K, but may well have heard that wrong.

Happy to drop this, admit I was probably wrong and move on.

AFL / NRL double header.
I like that idea.

Are they still playing NRL games at Olympic Stadium (or is that being refurbished ?) , I thought they were tearing down the one next to the SCG , Football Stadium I always refer to it.
