How did others find this site? I found it from bigfooty where jay was posting. Have pretty much since then packed my forum bags and moved. I just go there to interact in keeper leagues for UF I'm in. Hardly ever check the SC section anymore.
Good question and I've created a new thread: http://www.supercoachscores.com/threads/845-How-did-you-find-our-website-SuperCoach-Scores (since SuperCoach will slow down in the next 2 months, but it's a very interesting question.

Sooo, footy tipping this week. How much do we take the teams playing for the 8 into consideration?

Leading by 2 in my main comp and very happy to cancel out my opponent but at the same time, don't want to do anything stupid.

Port v Carl
Rich v Ess
WC v Ade
Coll v North

All could possibly go either way. Who's everyone like? Is Essendon the obvious (but possibly stupid) pick to make here?

Don't over think cancelling out your opponent!
With a lead of 2, it is your opponent that is forced to throw in between 3 and 5 leftfield picks. If you try and think/guess what they're doing, you might bring yourself unstuck. Stick to what you've been doing, and failing that, just pick the 8 favs, and force him to get at least 3 results up!
Good Work, and good luck! :)

Haha yeah it's funny i've sent myself into a spin trying to think of what they'll pick, rather than making my own tips. I was actually up by 5 games 3 weeks ago but after a bit of gloating and telling them they better start picking roughies, they've managed to peg back my lead!

I'm not in any tipping comps but I've put some small bets on Carl, Rich, WC, Coll

WESTERN Bulldogs veteran Daniel Giansiracusa will play on next year after signing a one-year contract extension with the club.

Reaffirming his commitment to Whitten Oval, the 31-year-old has also agreed to take on an official coaching in 2015.

The Bulldog, who is set to play his 250th game against Melbourne on Sunday, is the club’s leading goal kicker with 34 goals from 19 games.

Bulldogs list manager Jason McCartney said securing a player with Giansiracusa’s vast experience for another year was pleasing.

“On top of an impressive season where he leads the club in goalkicking, Daniel has been a great leader and mentor to our developing group,” McCartney told the Bulldogs’ website.

“Daniel’s experience and astute football knowledge make him a respected member of our football club and we look forward to seeing him continue to contribute both on and off the field into the future.”

Giansiracusa said: “The decision I made first was only about playing and I did that knowing that my passion is still there.

“A lot of people gave me all sorts of advice so I weighed it all up and decided to take the glass half-full approach,” he told Fairfax Media.

“I though, why not?”

The decision to keep Giansiracusa, comes only a day after the club decided to move on another veteran, midfielder Daniel Cross.

Following that decision, Cross said he wanted to keep playing and would search for a new club.

Oops when I say comp I probably should've said weekly comp :p

$200 smackers for his time is not too shabby.

LOL nothing major, just the round 23 weekly, which is $200.

Starting to get the mojo back to be honest, the last 2 weeks with AFL Fantasy been making good trades and this week with the Stadium Weekly (against ~750 people). The confidence is back for SuperCoach 2014. When you start just turning gold into dust in your SuperCoach trades and decisions, the team morale is down.

A wins a win. Congratulations Jay. As you said, it's good to know you've still got your Mojo working! :)

North Melb.
Does anyone remember if you had Supercoach gold this season if we have access to making a team earlier. And if so, how earlier was it last year? November/December
