Had all 6 golfers make the cut. Of course the one who is best placed of the 6 I started on the bench. It has happened every week so far.

Looks like everyone here has had a good tournament so far.

Almost chose Hoge who ended up scoring 43, in my infinite wisdom decided to go with Ricky Fowler instead lol
One of these days I'll get it right.

I have Hoge.... on my bench...

I have 6 at T17 or better. No idea what to do. Might just leave the starting 4 and save my "uses"?

After round 1 I'm not sure why I bothered :)
You are only 7 points off top spot after round 1. You can easily catch up, there weren't many massive scorers in Rd 1.

At least you didn't pick the guy in last place like I did. At least he was on the bench luckily (no cut in this tournament so picked two randoms I won't choose again for my bench spots)

Missed a trick on the sunday, with my 2 bench players scoring 61 vs 68 from my 4 on field....not really near it this week ..
I was actually leading our league going into the final round thanks to Victor Hovland's good 3rd round, then he proceeded to do sfa in the 4th lol

That was by no means a brilliant tournament for my team, as I missed most of the big scorers, but I still scored OK. I still ended with a good enough result to get me into the top 800 for the season overall - I was outside of the top 1000 prior to this tournament. Going well so far (approx 150 points off the leader, 100ish off top 20). That can easily be caught up over the nearly 40 tournaments remaining.

I guess I have been getting reasonably good results to date, without having any brilliant results, generally finishing top 10% to top 30% range for a tournament. Ensuring you have at least 4 players in every round also seems to be very important to good scoring, I haven't had any misses there yet, and you easily lose 30-40 points or so for every miss. Just need to keep it going to do well - it's a long season, and I don't think there's a huge amount of people who enter every single tournament. It looks like anyone who has a go at every tournament will probably end up with a reasonable ranking.

Edit: That top 800 rank must have been pre Fed-Ex pts. 1045th now.

I found it quite difficult to choose for this tournament, too many good options! Liking the lack of a cut though, as it should guarantee 4 players in all rounds (unless you cop multiple withdrawals).

I wasn't familiar with this course at all, looks like an interesting one though. Long and lots of sand with fast greens, sounds nasty. Three things I hated in a course whenever I used to play.

You're doing well mate, having 4 start each week so far has helped a lot, I've missed a few unfortunately but it's a very long season and comebacks /improvements can be made :).
I saw Connoisseur and $$$ chasers didn't make it in time last week, hopefully they both can this week.

I just went with the highly ranked players this week. May not have been the best option.

I may be a golfing masochist but long, lots of sand, fast greens I love (who am I kidding, I enjoy golf, so am obviously a masochist)

Spieth definitely not the right option, lucky he was on the bench for me.

I did consider Tom Kim again who has started well which was disappointing to miss, but I also considered Theegala, who is dead last. Bit of a mixed bag for Rd 1 for me.

Just ended up with a bunch of average scores. Had Spieth for the first 2 rounds before subbing him. Didn't get any big scores, but at least had Rory.

I think some learnings about using big names on courses that aren't high scorers, although I have no idea how I'll implement that come the second segment. Probably need to plan ahead.....

Same here, and same score for me, my starting choices and having Justin Thomas who turned out to be a dud this time, cost me 20 plus points.
I think because of the upheaval of the last few years it's hard to plan for future tournaments, although it's wise I reckon to make sure you've got your big names ready to go for when the majors are on. I'm just gonna try to select the guys who are in form and show some consistency.
It's hard to do any catching up with these invite only, no cut tournaments, hope there's not too many more of them.

Not a great final round for me, hoping I don't get hammered by the cup points this tournament like I usually do. At least I had the winner for once, the other 3 all finished out of the top 20.

You were the best of us again this week IH, thought Rory would've scored more than 19 points for winning...or hasn't that kicked in yet?

Nah, not yet. Usually takes about 24 hours. The winner of the tournament gets 500 cup points based on the app, so I think it should be an extra 50 pts there.
