I think that's going to far. What about when you bump a player, side by side, as a shepherd? Steele did a beauty on the weekend, and there was little danger of the recipient ending up concussed.

Penalty for a contested Careless, High contact and High impact = 3 weeks.

Penalty for a contested Careless, High contact and severe impact = 3 weeks.

Surely the minimum penalty for the higher grading should be higher than the grade below it or what is even the bloody point?

Having said that, if a player deliberately, and maliciously does something that will in all likelihood injure/hurt a player, I believe his suspension should start from when that injured/hurt player is passed fit to play again.

Was just thinking about this today given the now-mandated week off for any concussion. I wonder if the net result of this is going to be a scaling up of impact grading for any head contact to effectively add a week to any suspension? Reckon that would have been 2 weeks most other years.

Yeah absolutely. After his round 1 performance, I already have Jordon ahead of a few that played round 1 in a similar role. This Harmes news only further solidifies his JS.

He has a great opportunity to string some games together now.

I doubt clubs would be able to exploit this in any way, especially if the injured player was a fringe "petal".
