"Ye baby" doesn't express that sentiment.

You could have expressed your thoughts way better in regards to tagging.
I 100% agree with the sentiment of what you’re saying @KLo30, but I do think there was a clear fantasy link to @Nathan’s comment. Not the best taste, sure, but I’d be lying if I said I thought differently on reading the line.

The injury has happened regardless of how I think about anything..I didn’t wish for the injury. Celebrating the fact my players won’t face him for next 10 weeks, Yes.
I've read this as:
'not good at all that a player got injured, but I see this unfortunate injury as having a positive to my SC team'.

Are you looking to trade him in ?

Just need 3 more games from Meek and everything is going to plan.

Makes you wonder why people are so keen on Treacy if Lobb is due back then.

I guess he is just another one people label as a gun before they even debut let alone establish themselves at this level.

Actually Darcy with 91 , 90 could be interesting if he doesn't get injured again.

No Lobb for me, had him last year, that was enough, but remembered you were curious when he was due back. That’s great, stick to your plan.

Thanks for the info 🤗

I actually remember now I think he & McEvoy were in one of my planning teams as R1 & R2.

Yes I need to stick to my plan , and stop worrying about what other coaches score each Round.

With a bit of luck I am 3.5 trades away from going AOA.

I might have missed it, but I don't recall anyone labelling him a "gun".
I do recall people being excited at the prospect of a R/F that looked like he'd get games, and potentially might be a 70 or 80 player. But that's not really labelling him gun.
I don't think anyone is really looking at him as a long term prospect, just a Rookie with DPP, that might be useful. It would seem clear to blind Freddie, that's he's behind Meek and Darcy, for now.

That's the one , the 8 Carlton players.

You have been very consistent with your structure though the whole way through.
Not sure it's a structure that gets me anywhere, other than keep me within the 10k mark. Anyway I'll wait with baited breath as each injury is announced. 23 rounds this year and back to 30 trades, we might find the NTC starting around round 14 this year. 😜

I think it is definitely very workable (with the right players)

Just need to wait (like all of us) for your bench rookies to get to about $ 275-300k then the real fun begins.

If your mid price players get to say $ 375-400k theoretically they should be easier to upgrade.

Those averaging 90 ish could even be keepers.

Can't remember what your side looks like now , but from Round 7 - > you should be well placed to start downgrade/upgrade

Thanks Herbie, I'll be saving trades and relying on cash gen albeit not at the rate of Tex and Impey, whom I don't have.

I am curious , can you show me a picture of your team at the moment.

I am bringing in Impey at the moment hoping he or Ziebell can be a "fake" F6 or a quicker avenue to a Mitchell , Neale , Oliver type after Round 6.

Be interesting what Walker owners do with him , either he becomes a keeper or a relatively easy sideways/upgrade.

Knowing when to cut him loose will be the key.

Giants’ worst fears as stars out for months; Dons gun to miss almost entire year: Casualty Ward

Max Laughton and David Zita from Fox Sports
April 6th, 2021 6:11 pm
The Suns face a considerable ruck problem after scans confirmed the worst for their co-captain.
Plus the Giants’ horror start to the season has been compounded by three brutal injury blows, including to their captain.
Catch up on all of the latest AFL injury news after Round 3 in Casualty Ward.

GIANTS’ HORROR START TO SEASON ONLY GETTING WORSE
GWS has confirmed a quartet of major blows, with captain Stephen Coniglio, veteran defender Phil Davis, the versatile Matt de Boer and Harry Perryman all facing weeks or even months on the sidelines.
Coniglio’s ankle injury, suffered in a tackle by Melbourne’s Tom Sparrow on Sunday evening, will require surgery and see him miss between eight and 10 weeks.

The skipper has suffered two previous syndesmosis injuries, most notably costing him a large portion of the 2017 season.
“We had some scans done yesterday and got those results back before he saw the surgeon today,” GWS head of medical Cullan Ball said.
“We’re expecting him to have an operation on Thursday to have that joint stabilised. It’s disappointing for Stephen. We think he’ll miss around eight weeks depending on how quickly he progresses.”

Meanwhile ex-captain Davis has suffered a “fairly significant” calf injury which will cause him to miss six weeks.

De Boer‘s diagnosis was the worst. He won’t require surgery on his hamstring but will miss between two and three months.
Finally Harry Perryman, who missed the loss to Melbourne with illness, has been diagnosed with glandular fever and won‘t train for another couple of weeks.
“Unfortunately for Phil, he’s sustained a fairly significant soleus injury and we’re expecting him to miss around six weeks,” Ball said.
“Really disappointing for Matthew, he’s been going so well. He’s ruptured one of the tendons in his hamstring that’s within the muscle.
“He doesn’t need an operation but it’s a significant injury and we’re expecting him to miss around 10 weeks.”
In some positive news, Lachie Whitfield is three to four weeks away after a specialist cleared him to begin contact work following a liver injury, while recruit Jesse Hogan is available for selection.
The Giants, 0-3 for the first time since 2013, have games against Collingwood, Sydney and the Western Bulldogs to come.

BOMBERS GUN’S KNEE INJURY WORSE THAN FEARED
Dylan Shiel will miss almost the entire 2021 season after learning his knee injury was even worse than initially feared.
The Essendon midfielder went under the knife last week, where doctors found his torn meniscus was more significant than first believed.
He was initially scheduled to miss four to six weeks. But in an effort to ensure his knee is healthy long-term, Shiel and the Dons decided to repair the knee, which will keep him out for around four months.

“Dyl’ (Dylan Shiel) saw the surgeon early last week,” Essendon head of high performance Sean Murphy said.
“The decision was made to go in for surgery for last Tuesday. In the end, the meniscal tear was quite significant, and the decision was made to repair the meniscal tear.
“What that means now is that there’s more of a lengthy period in terms of his rehab process and it’s looking like commonly a 16-week layoff to return to play.
“It’s big chunk of footy ‘Dyl’ is going to miss this year which is unfortunate for the club and for ‘Dyl’.”
The timeline means Shiel would be racing to recover for the last five weeks of a season where the Bombers are not expected to play finals.

BULLDOGS COP BACKMAN BLOW
The Western Bulldogs’ already-troubled tall defensive stocks have taken a blow with Ryan Gardner set to miss up to two months.
The 23-year-old injured his AC joint very early in the Good Friday win over North Melbourne, with Gardner to require surgery.
“Ryan had some side impact in the opening minutes of the game, that damaged his AC joint,” Bulldogs Head of Medical Services Chris Bell said.
“The AC joint was damaged to an extent that did require surgery, and we expect ‘Gardy’ to miss the next six-to-eight weeks of football.”
A mid-season draft pick-up in 2019, Gardner has played 15 games for the Bulldogs after three years on Geelong’s list.
Bulldogs coach Luke Beveridge has preferred him in defence, along with Alex Keath, to Zaine Cordy and Lewis Young.
SUNS CO-CAPTAIN DONE FOR THE YEAR
Gold Coast Suns ruckman Jarrod Witts will miss the rest of the 2021 season, with scans confirming a ruptured ACL for the co-captain and a hammer blow for Stuart Dew’s side.
Witts was helped off the ground in the third quarter of his side’s loss to Adelaide at the Adelaide Oval, where he fell awkwardly after a centre bounce.
“Jarrod has suffered a rupture of his ACL,” footy manager Jon Haines said.
“He will miss the remainder of the 2021 season. It’s unfortunate for Jarrod, but we know he’ll continue to lead the club as he has done in recent years.”
The Suns’ ruck stocks are in disarray in the short-term, with Zac Smith still a month away with a PCL injury and Matt Conroy also doing his ACL.
Chris Burgess, who occupied the role in Witts’ absence last week, is likely to become the go-to ruckman in the interim.

TIGERS FACE CHANGES FOR PRELIM REMATCH BUT SKIPPER MAY PLAY
Richmond will be forced into at least two changes for Friday night’s preliminary final rematch against Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval, but is confident in Trent Cotchin’s fitness.
The captain was managed at the end of Saturday’s upset loss to Sydney, with his hamstring iced on the bench, but coach Damien Hardwick said it was a precautionary move given Cotchin’s injury history.
The 30-year-old Cotchin also missed Round 1’s win over Carlton through illness.
Dion Prestia (hamstring) and Kamdyn McIntosh (concussion) will need to be replaced at selection, while Nick Vlastuin (knee) is still at least a month away from returning.

Bachar Houli could play his first game of the season after a successful return through the VFL, while Jack Ross, Riley Collier-Dawkins and Will Martyn will all be considered to replace Prestia.
INJURY ADDED TO INSULT IN SAINTS’ AWFUL EASTER
St Kilda will be without exciting midfielder Jade Gresham for the rest of the 2021 season, after he injured his right Achilles.
The 23-year-old went down without being touched in the second quarter of Saturday’s blowout loss to Essendon, with Saints coach Brett Ratten confirming the major blow post-match.

“He’ll be out for nine months. He’s popped his Achilles,” Ratten said.
“It’s pretty tough for him. He missed a lot of footy towards the back end with a stress fracture (in his back) which was very unusual for a player of his size.
“He was just starting to build and he cops an injury and he’ll be out for the rest of the year.”
Meanwhile the Saints are still waiting to learn how bad running midfielder Zak Jones’ ankle injury is.
“He’s rolled his ankle or got it caught, but to what level we’re not completely sure yet,” Ratten said.
Sitting at 1-2, the Saints face West Coast, Richmond and Port Adelaide over the next three weeks.

How long do back injuries usually take for a player to be back at 100%?
Re; Neale.

Im hoping to try and talk myself out of trading this week but if Neales injury is bad for a long time then i dont know...
