I thought he was pretty unlucky to get done. Was a legitimate and perfectly reasonable football move by Fritsch that was unlucky to get Powell high because Powell was dipping into the tackle (solid technique fwiw) and just an unfortunate accident as a result.

Thought the high free kick was the correct call/finality of the incident personally but I always hate whenever the MRP is involved because it feels more like a "legal protection" for the AFL than legitimate system.
My thoughts were more based on precedent from other similar incidents, where the head has been sacrosanct and any high contact gets rubbed out. Guess that's the usual consistency from the tribunal at work.

Chapman out locks in one of my trade outs, but even fit he was going after his last few scores. Still tossing up between two options to trade out for the other trade: I know convention says not to sideways trade, but it feels right, and leaning towards that option rather than fixing a dud bench rookie, depending on selection news closer to the games.

I'm not surprised mate, Port Adelaide still has Jones as down as the original diagnosis of 3-4 weeks & he's already missed 2

FM Ryan, why do I get the feeling this "1 week" injury will turn into 5-6 weeks.
Fremantle have taken 30 players on the road to Brisbane, including Ryan, as they will not return to Perth until after the Essendon game next week in Melbourne, that would suggest that Ryan IS some chance to play next week. Just adds to the intrigue!

The Blues expect Jack Silvagni (shoulder) to be back from another shoulder injury against the Western Bulldogs on Sunday.

Fitness boss Andrew Russell said the Blues hoped Zac Williams (achilles soreness) and Marc Murphy (neck soreness) would be available.

“Zac had a couple of small issues last week: he trained today, he’ll train on Thursday and we expect him to be available this week,” he said.

“‘Murph’ got a hit to the neck last week on Thursday. At the time, we thought he was a chance to still play on Sunday but that didn’t settle down.

“We’ll give him every chance to play this week, we’ll test him on Thursday and see how he comes up and if he’s available.”
