Bad week for the Jones brothers ...

On the other hand, James Jordon's job security just improved
To be honest, apart from a scheduled "rest/management" Jordon has no problems as far as JS goes.
He'd need 2 or 3 shockers before they dropped him, I reckon. He's doing his on field role beautifully, both for Melbourne, and for SC.

This.

Comes in and does his job every week with little fuss.

Clear that Goody is a big fan, too.

He's been a plonker for the last 30 odd games.
Why wouldn't they just rest him if it's something serious?

Swear any time one of the big names has underperformed they come out with the "he's actually injured" card, no one ever just plays a poor game(s) anymore.
Yeah at a certain point the injury excuse goes out the window, even he's fit to play or you rest him. The back hasn't stopped him sniping and giving away stupid free kicks all season...

Been a really sad decline under Teague. I mean I'm sure there's an injury there but he's had so many at this point that you just wonder about their medical staff which has been pretty damn ordinary for a long time now, McGovern, Cripps, Murphy, Martin, Curnow, Newman, Docherty, Marchbank, Williamson, Silvagni, Kreuzer and I'm pretty sure Stocker and Kemp and possibly O'Brien as well have all missed a lot of football with injuries over the past few years, it feels like you hit a point where questions do need to be asked.

He had those two stinkers in the preseason and still made the round 1 team, Goodwin clearly likes what he brings (he's actually got a lot of similarities to Goody as a player so makes sense!) and he's been playing better and better as he gets comfortable with the speed. I actually thought he was the Dees best midfielder against Sydney with the way Oliver and Trac were throwing cleavers around which says a fair bit about how well he played.

He's safe and should be in all sides until r14 for mine barring a catastrophic score. Scoring too well, making cash and perfect bye timing.

Oh. I hadn’t sighted him since he went off.
Haven't seen him in the last as yet. I reckon that might have put him on ice. Could be the injury and/or the plan after being out for a number of weeks. It's a shame because I wanted to watch both he and Jez McLennan. Both a talented, but wanted to see a four quarter game/effort from both. McLennan doesn't appear to get involved enough on a consistent basis.
