Just looked at the Eagles website and their player list is genuinely hilarious. You get down to Joyce and he's got a Lions jumper, Dixon in Freo is a standout, Naish in Richmond and then Willie Rioli in a jumper from about 3 years ago finish by Strnadica not even getting a picture!

If the majority of their fans weren't such intolerable types I'd almost feel sorry for them

Believe me when I say we've got pretty much all the good Eagles' fans on here!
😂😂😂

Thanks Wogi 👍

I've had OP, it's one of those weird injuries that you can play through and actually isn't "painful" but it's incredibly limiting.

I'd liken it to playing with two significant ankle weights on, you can't run fluidly, you can't kick properly, your balance/core strength is just off. If you're lucky, and I was, rest will heal it up, I never had it again after that season, just started doing ACLs instead , but I definitely went into that season unfit and paid the price, can definitely buy that Rowell after his injuries just didn't have the fitness and that's where it was exposed.

The concern of course is that it's a notorious injury for making a return, just ask Elliot Yeo how his last couple of seasons have gone with it unfortunately, and realistically while Rowell can work on 10 games, you're picking him hoping for 22 at a quasi-premium level.
Ouch, Osteitis Pubis and ACLs, not good.

We don't have the info on how bad Rowell's Osteitis Pubis was? Or do we know how bad Yeo's was? What I do know is that Rowell seems to be over it, by his good pre-season form.

With your description of having experienced it, and how it restricted your on field performance, clearly explains Rowell's poor performance last year. You went on to say that you never had it again, which is possible that Rowell won't get it again either. But his style of play is a concern, Rowell has stated himself, that he has a “bat out of hell” style.

If Rowell has some high spiked games early in the season (Rd1 vs WCE), then he could possibly make enough money early in the season, if a forced trade needs to be done. Hopefully he can stay injury free for the whole season and be a Keeper.

(I remember Dangerfield had to temper his playing style from his early years and it proved fruitful, maybe Rowell can do the same?)

FWIW, I had the same style, the best part about winning the ball was not having to run as far to battering ram someone :)

Round 1 is a waste, only in that one price change, save it for the round 3/4/5 window if he's going to do it :)

First two price changes are the biggest though... Gulden had made $180k after R4 based mostly on spike scores in rounds 1 and 2. He only made $14k more after that before he started going backwards.

Rowell could tear up WCE but then Melbourne at home would be tougher after that. But he might only need 4 games to have made enough money for a super quick switch out for a slow starter (maybe Bont gets stuck forward for a few weeks, something like that).

The picture in the club guernsey is not worth the risk of them being a close contact or rolling their ankle :p
