RE: Nat Fyfe, I wasn't aware of this before I selected him in my starting squad, was this public knowledge in the pre-season?
Just asking because if I'd known this I wouldn't have considered picking him.

Leaves a bit of a bad taste in the mouth, this sort of thing, my other choice besides Fyfe was Ziebell, which would've given me a much better start...and saved me a trade.

100%. I started Fyfe because I had some bonus cash freed up late in the piece, rather than because I wanted to, and I’d basically decided to trade him out to Ziebell before the late out news came through. Maybe I should have just banked the cash, or maybe this one was hard to dodge. He’s gone now though, and I’m happy to have Ziebell.
Explains why he didn't play any midfield minutes.
Unfortunately clubs are going to bs this stuff forever and a day. No point getting upset about it.

I'm not upset, just bringing to light something that hasn't been discussed yet, that there was a pre-existing injury that hadn't been divulged to the public. It's just data collecting really, avoid the older players with injury history (because there are probably other injuries there in the background we might not even know about) until it's too late

Traded him as soon as I heard he was out in rd2. Like you, I wouldn't have picked him if I had known about the injury.
Just disappointing that clubs play these games.
It’s Fyfe, you pick him knowing he’ll play 14 games or less each season and you take the punt hoping he’ll play the first 6. That’s SC risk reward, sometimes you strike gold, sometimes you get burned, but if you don’t try at all you go nowhere.
I think you flip Ridley anyway. He doesn't have the same mortgage he had on kick ins and intercepts and will fall short of a premium. If you have nothing more pressing.
