Reckon the injury occurred in that big clash with Taylor, drop in form coincides. Suggests big knock on knee area, so corkie quite the possibility and not long term. Im moving him on anyways
Scored 143 in that game though? Potentially delayed soreness post game may have hindered but he played a blinder in that game.

Could be spot on with that collision (y)

Watching it back on replay doesn't show too much, but he did land on his knees hard.

Played free enough in the Bulldogs game between the Giants and Port. Came into the Port game with the strapping.

Injuries open door for Pie’s fairytale debut
Story by Ed Bourke • 2h •

Collingwood will turn to pre-season signing Lachie Sullivan to help fill the void left by injured premiership on-ballers Jordan De Goey and Tom Mitchell against Carlton.

Sullivan, 26, will make his debut in the Friday night blockbuster between the arch rivals after he was a late addition to Collingwood’s list following seven years plying his trade in the VFL and local football.

It comes amid concern at the Magpies over De Goey’s groin issue, with the star midfielder experiencing tightness on both sides.

Coach Craig McRae said the time frame for De Goey’s recovery was “an unknown”, as he planned a revamp of his midfield to combat a Carlton on-ball brigade led by Patrick Cripps and Sam Walsh.

De Goey did not train on Wednesday, while Mitchell was put through a modified session as he manages a plantar fasciitis flare-up.
Sullivan likely a one off replacement and Collingwood probably picked him up in the pre-season for this very reason. However, his numbers at reserves level have been very good, particularly in 2023 where he averaged 30.8 disp and 113.1 (FP) for the season. Absolute piglet! Would be a great story if he could hold his place. Collingwood's midfield is definitely screaming out for another ball getter even with JDG playing.
