My last 10 movies watched, in chronological order, with a brief description...
1:
A Quiet Place Day One: Very enjoyable, highly suspenseful, and terrifying, almost felt like a one take movie...in a 1917 vein.
2:
Thriller 40: A documentary about the historical effect of Michael Jackson's Thriller album on the music industry and Popular culture, very interesting and informative, showcases Jackson's genius and drive to succeed.
I lived it so know how it all went down but would be very informative for those of a younger generation to watch.
3:
Marmalade: Quirky crime movie, highly enjoyable, well acted, nice twist at the end. Connoisseur recommended.
4:
Dredd 2012: Just felt like watching it again, gritty, hardcore violent scifi action movie based on comic book character Judge Dredd.
Love it, I actually had a drawing published in a 200AD magazine of Judge Dredd in the 90's haha.
5:
Limitless: 2011: have seen it several times before but enjoyed watching again after several years, so well made and acted, and a great original concept at the time.
6:
My Spy: The Eternal City: Dave Bautista, a bit of fun, over produced and CGI'd but still a bit of fun, not Oscar worthy but entertaining action/comedy/spy movie.
7:
Horizon: An American Saga Chapter 1: Three hours worth if you don't mind, very good though, has a thoroughly authentic feel to it in the hardship that must've been experienced in those days, Kevin Costner Produced and Directed, even starred in, I'm in, it's worth sticking with it until however many chapters are left.
8:
Many Thanks to Isla: A rather strange, slow and mysterious movie that keeps you guessing about what might happen in the end after a baby is discovered under an upturned boat on the shore of a tiny, completely isolated island that lives off grid from the nearest mainland.
The baby, it turns out has some kind of special powers that holds her in reverence among the local fisher/townsfolk of the small Island.
Only towards the end of the film, do we discover the real power of Isla's special gifts.
9:
The Convert: Guy Pearce and a bunch of hardcore Kiwi actors make up the cast of this brutally violent movie about an English Preacher trying to make his way in a very untamed New Zealand in the day or warring tribes and lots or murdering going on. Well made and highly watchable.
10:
The Last Breath: Shark Movie!, yeah not too bad though, a group of young cocky good looking people with too much money pay a struggling boat captain to dive a World War 2 Battleship wreck get themselves in some trouble when some naughty sharks show up and start spoiling the party. Not terrible like an Assylum Shark movie but not great either, but not terrible, definitely watchable
That's it, I have over-typed enough.
