What do you think the protocol should be on songs beginning with words like “An” or “The”? A or T songs, or whatever comes after?

I have really enjoyed listening to songs that I have never heard before and I am enjoying the different genres that are selected.

I rather relax the Rules, to enjoy good songs, then listen to ordinary songs just to follow the rules. Therefore:

Firstly, select a song's title that starts with the next letter of the alphabet.
If can't find a good song, then:
Secondly, select a key word in a song's title that starts with the next letter of the alphabet.
And especially for the really tough letters of the alphabet:
Thirdly, select a song's title that contains the next letter of the alphabet, or in a performer's name or even in a genre (Jazz, Waltz).

I hope that makes sense?

Letter: B

I think I've posted this song before as it's one of my favourite Metallica songs...

But Metallica just released this new re-worked semi-acoustic version of Blackened from quarantine just a few hours ago, I'm really digging this new arrangement...

I sort my music and movie collections by the first significant word in the title and disregard a, an, the, etc.

So a song titled "The End of the World" would come under "E" and a movie like "The Shawshank Redemption" would come under "S".

That's the way most people do it I think.

I tend to agree with both your and @Bermi’s thinking.

It’s not how my iPhone search works, but it should lead to better song selections!
