Played: J Arrow, A Fifita, B Nikora, N Cleary, E Marsters, J Trbojevic, M Taupau, A Tolman, K Ponga (C), C Smith, C Gutherson and B Ferguson (new recruit)

Yet to play: CNK, J Tedesco, C Murray, M Morgan, S Burgess (new recruit)

Finally a good captains score and an amusing coincidence that K Ponga scored 83 as captain which was the same score he recorded when I captained him in RD6. Looking forward to S Burgess's debut and hopefully M Morgan can be within 20 points of P Haas.

Had initially planned to trade CHT to T Dearden to allow C Waddell to J Taumalolo but due to Papenhuyzen's performance tonight (125) I've had a change of plans and will likely trade Okunbor to him via CNK. After averaging 5 in his 1st 4 games he has scored 50 and a 125 increasing his season avg to 32.67 and with his low breakeven he should easily make 100,000+. Since I'm holding CHT I'll likely trade him to S Johnson once he returns from injury.

At half time Ponga was on 49, with two minutes left he was on 48, and then he scored a try off a knock on to boost his score right up. We got extremely lucky ahahahah

I did see this after the fact, was too busy watching the afl to even notice what was going on in that match haha.

Glad you finally got a good captains score though conn!

I’m currently 716 with 6 to play. Also Ponga C. Unfortunately have carried three disgusting scores in Fifita, Gutherson and Okunbor, but that’s the nature of the SC beast.

New recruit RTS had a great game for me so that was a win, hopefully Hudson Young can do solidly in his match today.

Burgess, C.Murray, Cook, Morgan, Tedesco and CNK to go. Hoping to crack 1100, don’t think I’ll see much past that unless 3-4 of my guys go 80+

Thanks and good luck with your remaining players. I've never heard or considered Paperhuyzen until yesterday and would greatly appreciate your thoughts on him due to his low breakeven?

There’s a bit of talk that he’s a young gun and could be given more opportunities very soon. That said, he scored all his points in a 30 minute period against a team that was pathetic during that match.

If you’re looking at him as a cash grab and can afford the trade then I would say it’s fine.

If you’re looking at him as a scoring option in the future, I think it’s a tad risky. You’ve got Drinkwater due back around RD14, and he was filling in for someone I believe.

If named and starting next week (doubts around Hughes currently) I’ll probably sub out Xerri. Really want to get rid of Okunbor, but keeping until RD12 has passed.

Thanks. Will never be in my 17 due to J Taumalolo selected next week meaning M Morgan, P Haas, S Lane and M Sivo will be my 18th to 21st so is purely a cash grab. Will likely trade Okunbor as I think I'll fall short of Waddell to LoLo by trading B Xerri.

Hughes was concussed, playing no further part in the game and Sivo sent off as a result. Paperhuyzen went to full back and went off like a firecracker. That's when the party really started. The Eels were a complete rabble for that 10 minutes.

11/694 Ponga C

New recruit Gutherson managed to make Fifita and Okunbor look like SC stars. Long term it should be fine, however I had a bad feeling about the Eels against the Storm, which was well founded.

80 in the end for Mitchell. Very good score and a $47K price rise. It also might not be as bad as it first seemed given he was seen warming up on the bike to come back on in the second half. Not sure if he did as I had to do a job around the resort and missed the second half.

Unless an absolute nightmare happens from here I can finally celebrate doing something in SC02 haha. Needed 53 from Cook before the game and he's 94 at half time!

Score: 1157
Rd Rank: 55805
Overall Rank: 18022 (from 11338)
0-50: A Fifita, M Morgan, B Ferguson (new recruit), C Gutherson
51-79: B Nikora, E Marsters, N Cleary, A Tolman, J Arrow, J Trbojevic, M Taupau, CNK, S Burgess
80+: K Ponga (C), C Smith, J Tedesco, C Murray
Comments:
No Cook or Munster meant a drop in the ranks in conjunction with the quartet of B Ferguson, C Gutherson, M Morgan and A Fifita combining for 89 points but very happy with Smith and Tedesco scoring 100+ as well as finally selecting a good captain with K Ponga. Assuming Fifita is out, he and Morgan will be replaced with J Taumalolo and P Haas in the starting 17.

Current RD10 trades:
Out:
J Okunbor and C Waddell
In: R Papenhuyzen and J Taumalolo
