I'd see how Bont goes against one of the worst defensive teams in the comp on Sunday.

As much as I like him, Roughy looks like a bust to me, so out of the two I'd definitely bring in Smith.

I'd grab Cogs and D Smith and increase that bank balance.

Bad luck that Roughy hasn't quite worked out but I think getting these guys for cheaper is a must this season.

i cant see bont role changing. cogs is playing really well and he actually wasnt doing too well up until half time against the pie. cogs can become a keeper. i can see him avg 110. personally grab the cash and the better scoring player.

Further to this, Cogs was on 6 at QT and finished on 120. That's ridiculous scoring potential

To avoid a donut this week, Langdon out for:

RUC/FWD donut (Currently have no designated donut), allowing English to be swung into the fwd line VS Barry with Garlett swung into the fwd line VS Fogarty (Geelong) with Garlett again swung into the fwd line

I would grab Barry.

Thanks very much fellas, extremely helpful.

Unfortunately Bont has done so poorly/Cogs so well that it's a bit of a now or never on the trade from a cash perspective ($75k total price delta this round).

I reckon I'm pretty much locked and loaded on these trades. Will try to minimise any late out risk but otherwise feeling more comfortable with these moves after your thoughts and Rowsus'.

Edit: tried to rep everyone, but I need to spread for Bomber.

Robbie Gray v. Toby McLean

McLean better bye, Gray would have to average 6ppg more than McLean to be worth the on-field rookie in R10.

You would have to play a rookie over Mclean during his bye as well, so their byes are irrelevant.

I think Mclean is very likely to drop off with Wallis coming back (hopefully not, as he's in my team), but should still average around 90. Gray played midfield last week, and should average 100+ if he continues to play there, but probably more like 85-90 if he moves forward. I think the good outweighs the bad with Gray, so he'd be my pick.

Fair points re Gray. Worth noting that there were late pre season comments suggesting he would play a lot of time forward, so as well as reducing his average score, that is likely to make him a cheap upgrade target at some point. He is also coming off a cancer fight and has the early bye, so I have viewed him as someone I would prefer to wait and see on, and potentially get in cheap later on. Personally I cannot see someone like Rocky doing so poorly all year, so I'm not sure that Port have settled their structure following all of their off season recruiting.

Taranto.

Plays as a mid/fwd, who have more predictable scoring. Hogan will have more ups and downs and Taranto has a good ceiling anyway
cheers bloke. was just considering hogan's midfield time as possibly evening out his scoring, and massive ceiling vs taranto's dpp and probable more mid time than hogan. i also have jkelly and cogs so a bit iffy on points spread.

lol sounds like i wanna go hogan doesn't it? but geez taranto is looking good so far. identical ownership so POD not a factor... hmmmm

Idk how the ownership changes week by week but Taranto will have a lot of trade ins this week so I'm not sure if those ownership stats are correct.

Both will likely end up averaging similarly, but Hogan will probably be more of a rollercoaster. Hogan maybe more proven as well? Flip a coin
