Laird or Short.

Cash is spare so makes no difference elsewhere but it does seriously reduce cash reserves which I don't like much. But I do like Laird. If Laird, as one of the few reliable mids the Crows have can he handle a tag if he gets one? Don't recall if he has needed to deal with a regular hard tag before. Or will most teams think we can just beat them in a shoot out so lets not bother.
Tough one ... I have both.

Laird more proven/ 2nd half of last season excellent. Hear your tag concerns but still favour him just.

I am kind of twisted on Short because he can go big but sometimes he is MIA and really he is flavour of the month based on the GF, his pre season game and then the expectation of the statue rule favouring his game style. And maybe I am caught in that fever. And you could say to each of those, he scored 52 in the PF, it was just a pre season game not the real season and how the rule works out is problematic. Coaches might find a negating strategy by mid season.

Who ever I choose I know how this is going to turn out. It is like when I go to the checkout at Woolworths and no matter which checkout I choose I always end up with the longest wait because some old lady that wants the sugar replaced because that one leaks and then spends 10 minutes arguing about the how she has been overcharged for her bag of bananas and wants a price check.

Dusty v Cripps?

Having doubts on Cripps & Dusty looks in ripping shape, DP very handy for coverage.
Is this for a midfield spot? If so definitely not Dusty, he'd need another out of the box season to justify starting him there.
If Dusty would be starting forward, it's a tough one. Cripps should potentially have massive upside based on his scoring history. The problem I have is that his pre-season game in which he seemed to be taking it easy could also be interpreted as Cripps playing exactly the same way he did last season. Dusty's highly likely to be a top 6 forward, Cripps is in no way certain to be a top 10 mid.

I'd say go with Cripps if you think he can return to at least 107 (his lowest premium performance to date. Dusty will almost certainly go through a down period and a hot streak, he'll always be gettable for under 500k at some point and will only hurt you if he start the season on fire.

I love this analogy but we're missing but there is a glaring flaw in it... at Woolworths you can fix that problem by going to the self-serve checkout so where is the damn self-serve checkout for SC

Have you ever done a entire trolley of shopping using those self serve things? Never try it. More frustrating than the old lady. "Error in bagging area. Seek Assistance" over and over. Rinse and repeat. Death of a thousands scans...

Not sure if I can have two in the one post but I'm racking my brain over the following two:
1. J. Lloyd and C. Oliver vs T. Stewart and L. Neale
2. T. Green vs B. Hill

Gawn + Heppell + Warner

vs

Grundy + LDU + Henry / Fullarton

Yes I know I know, but I'm almost magnetically drawn to young midfielders who have had a strong pre-season and look like they have matured to the point where they look ready to break out...

Same, I can certainly see the attraction of LDU - I wished he had played more fwd last year, would of certainly picked him if he was a fwd.

Depends how much you want to gamble, the Gawn/Heppell/ Warner combo is probably the more logical choice however the more unique call is the 2nd option, big risk/big reward.

Are you feeling lucky? :p;)
