Lloyd vs Salem vs Mills (D5)

Monitoring Whitfield closely for D6 later in the season.
Lloyd the safest pick given durability record and will probably score the most consistently given SC favourite status.

Mills the highest scoring potential but has had a few injuries over the last few years. He's got the best role, most weeks at least...

Salem the unique one if you want to be really different but I don't like jumping on breakout guys with a huge score making up most of the variance and think he's a bit above where I'd expect his average but he definitely could be a great pick.

I'll be coin-flipping Mills vs Lloyd in r15 if I get that far or don't grab Whitfield for my D6 before that. Probably take Lloyd and the 14k for D5 though given you can always grab the leftover if Whitfield doesn't get firing.

Trade out HJones or Mcreery?
Asking for others who will benefit from which ever one I trade out! 😀

I have the cash to trade in Bont for Flynn.

Is it worth making this trade now (and banking an extra week of Bont's scoring instead of Scott, ie 60 point gain), or better to let Flynn increase in price more?

If you agree with Flynn’s projections he should make $35k this round, which is c. 7 points per game. Assuming you can invest this cash near term, it should be invested for >9 rounds ans therefore generate a >60 point gain.

You can obviously play with the specific inputs, but this is how I would tend to think about it, especially if it’s a this week vs next week type of tradeoff.

@Darkie thanks for the feedback.

Think I will hold fire on the trade for now and see what happens this round, and teams in Round 11. If he plays well this round and gets named Round 11 then it may be a possibility that he plays through the byes, including the critical Round 14 bye where the Gawndy ruck line has nil points. All while continuing to increase in value.

Isn't Preuss now listed as 2-3 weeks away ?

Nick Murray vs Alec Waterman - from the perspective of (short term) JS and scoring potential? Going with Waterman means eating a donut at D6 this week but I can wear that if his JS and cash gen will be significantly better than Murray's.

Looking at one of them to kick off my bye week downgrade cycle and need to make these trades today unfortunately so no time to mull them over.

Still cant decide between Hall and Heeney +100k . Hall has SC role gold and if he keeps it and plays he will be a top 6 forward. But at 450k his injury + role risk could hurt. Heeney same risks but 100k less and a lower ceiling.

I’m taking the approach of picking the player who is currently fit and playing a good role over the one who isn’t ticking either of those boxes. Could backfire, but if it does I’ll simply trade him out.

Option 1: Lachie Jones (D7) + gamble with Grundy as Captain this round; or
Option 2: Bianco (assuming not playing) + Oliver's 204?

The above move does not involve a trade. Also, Laird is in my defence so there isn't an immediate M/D link.

(Best case situation would be if Murphy doesn't play and i'd take him in order to access Oliver's 204, however I'm assuming he is the medical sub).

So assuming Bianco not playing, what score are you getting. Jones/Murphy allows you to toggle them depending if Murphy sub or not.

@GrainFedBeef I would not be taking any of Jones, Murphy or Bianco scores - I will be taking Ridley's score via emergency.

So the situation is either:
1. If Murphy is med sub, then decision is either: i) Jones on bench and Grundy C; or ii) Bianco on bench and Oliver 204 C;

2. If Murphy is not med sub: i) Jones on bench and Grundy C: or ii) Murphy on bench and Oliver 204 C.

FYI - am using the 1st trade loophole, had traded Mansell to L Jones Friday night however have not made my second trade yet so can trade L Jones to Murphy or Bianco (if required) without using a trade.

So it's Grundy+Jones v 204. I'd take the 204.

EDIT: Hang on, I think I have misunderstood. Do you mean you would trade in a non-playing Bianco instead of Lachie Jones? In that case you have to get Jones and just hope for the best with Grundy C.

Think you were right, Jones was the sensible thing to do.

Grundy serviceable as captain, although had delusions of 200 based on the first half.

Thanks for the assistance.
