It really just depends where the rookies come from for the structure this year I think. If the rookies can hold in Defense it allows me to go strong across all other lines. I could bring Hill to the backline as well if a decent rookie scoring F6 shows up.

Got a fair bit of cash in the on field rookies as well so easy enough to change them around depending on who looks to start round 1.

I could bring MacPherson down to strengthen my backline and bring in Sicily but at this stage I’m going to run with a Docherty D1 pending those rookies.

D: Docherty, Roberton, Noble, Ash, Brander, Gould (Williamson, Williams)

M: Macrae, J.Kelly, T.Mitchell, Dangerfield, Bontempelli, Rowell, T.Green, Pickett (McInerney, Rivers, Close)

R: Grundy, Gawn (Xerri)

F: Whitfield, Martin, MacPherson, Petracca, D.Smith, Hill (Cameron, Rankine)

So Lloyd just there cos i could but he'll make way for Houston if he plays the same role like last week.
Feel its low risk bar naismith. Would love Gawn but it sacrifices too much on other lines.
If enough defender rookies show up i may think of running Roberton at d3 and bring in greenwood in and push devon to f5.

Your last 3 defender rookies don’t look likely to play

3-0-3 split in defence
4-1-3 split in mid
2-2-2 split in forward

Currently playing around with a side involving S Naismith at R2.


R Laird has recently been included replacing D Houston, as well as Noble due to the apparent lack of def rookies. If cash is needed to change the current rookie batch then it will likely be funded by R Laird to J Dawson. Prefer Nic Nat/Jacobs to Naismith but he allows Dusty at F1 rather than T Lynch/T Mac/etc.

First proper look at a team really this year. Will have to fix up the rookies but looks a lot deeper across other lines having Naismith at R2.

That is a very strong looking side onfield , do not like your midfield bench at all though , but might be the way to go though , just pick 3 cheapies and hope they play.

Excluding Comben, I count five rookie priced players who are very unlikely for round 1 and I feel you are going to need to find a decent amount of cash to turn them into playing rookies.

Gonna be a tough one to predict between the mid/fwds they got Danger,Ablett,Atkins,Steven,Menegola,Dalhaus,Duncan,Narkle,Selwood,Miers,Parfitt and longer period injured player in Cockatoo

You probably need people who are going to be Top 8-10 on their line , so I would be keeping Cripps.

With both Grundy & Gawn , I would lose Ceglar to a rookie and then upgrade O'Connor , Bianco , Brayshaw as a minimum to someone who actually looks like playing.
