Without Tomlinson there I suspect GWS have to play someone else capable of giving Jacobs a spell in the ruck. Briggs has to be a chance after what he showed in Marsh 1. Or do they use Himmelberg?
Briggs did looked good and held his own against Naismith when he was rucking. Wouldn't we all like another D/F rookie priced player who rucks at our fingertip come R1. Both Himmelberg and Finlayson rucked at times last year so they looked to be the designated relief rucks with how their 22 for R1 is shaping up. Keeffe is the other who rucked a lot last year but I doubt that he's even close to starting berth let alone be that relief ruck option.

Maybe Leon Cameron will surprise us all and play both Mumford & Jacobs...

I think if they want a second ruck it’s Mumford, otherwise Himmelberg provides a chop-out.

Ah yes, forgot that Cogs missed the GF. He’s obviously in.

Probably at the expense of Hately or Green.
Does Taranto out for ages and Ward out for the first month make Cogs an even more attractive starting pick, I would have thought either he sees less forward time or Greene sees more mid time because of this.

Get a full book of rookies wk 1, 2 weeks of corrective rookie trading and away you go. So the text book says anyway.
I fell for the corrective rookie trading last year and wont be going down that path this year. With that being said, I will be chasing the BE's from all players and trying to nail the best rookies, I have a few MP's that could require a bit of corrective manipulation, but at least I'll have the opportunity of choosing rookies once they have shown themselves rather than taking a punt before the first round.
I started with Balta, traded him out, got him back in again then moved him on again. Did the same with Hore, got Ross from the Tigs a game after he burst his bubble only to have him injured the very next game.

Good question. I basically haven't given Tom Sparrow much thought, mainly because the media haven't spoken much about him, so I know little about him. I did read somewhere that he would most likely play Fwd this year, but maybe there is a role for him in the midfield. He was traded in to be a midfielder. I know he was injured last year, but don't know the injury. I also don't know if he is in MEL's best 22?
