Sure that's the likely scenario, but what if he comes out and gets 25 touches and becomes undroppable? Then maybe Wills or Callum Brown goes out instead of him. The only real piece of solid information we have at the moment is that he'll be there for Round 1. Everything else is guess work. And this season I think you have to take what you can get when it comes to these rookies. Expensive guys like Ash are a bit more dubious because now you're robbing money from the rest of your team, but with these 123k guys I think you just have to take them when available.

I'm willing to spend over 123k on bench players but I just don't see guys like Serong being any safer at this point. And even guys like Anderson who were "lock in play every game" rookies now look more suspect because of the changes to the season, and therefore I don't believe they are worth the premium as bench options.

McAisy in defense is another one that would've been a safe as houses bench rookie at a premium price but again, he could easily get rotated week to week with Hartigan with the new changes. It's difficult to get a read on it.

Agree , will be even more important to nail bench rookies from the start , if it is indeed a 17 round season and we have 23/23 trades , might not be too many corrective trades available.

Doedee's return I think affects McAsey even more.

Hopefully we get some cheaper defender bench rookies named.

He was popular early on in the pre-season as it was assumed that he was a chance for round 1.

Now it’s looking extremely unlikely that he plays so expect that % to drop significantly before Sunday.

The first year players are more likely to be rested with short breaks. Tyler Brown with 2 preseasons should be alright.

Possibly, but if he plays well enough he wont be dropped immediately even if Treloar returns next week.

I'd be more interested in what the three-week numbers would look like for a $123.9k rookie who averages 40, 55 and 70 points respectively.
