Just another possible bubble player for next week.

May need to downgrade my problem players to rookies this week and also go early on a couple of rookie selections, as I'm sure there'll be more than 2 I will want next round. Keep the cash and upgrade to premiums in Rd 4/5/6 instead of now.

Yeh rookie grab as you may get a few cheap premos and less reliant on cash production later.

Thinking Doedee and Rivers is a must this week. Any Melbourne supporters can provide any info on Rivers JS.? My back line is a mess and need to go early on a rookie.

Next week, can only take two of Bennell, Rivers, Cameron, Sturt, Doedee and whoever else may post a decent number this week.

Might keep Naismith, might do the Gawn in becasuse I am ****e scared of finding cash if he starts going bang and might take a risk on Doedee early. Think we need to keep this in mind, will still be some rookie corrections next week needed.

Own 9 of those 14 too. Luckier than most! Wonder how many of those will be in next week?
I have 7 + KKP who I traded in last night & Mahony & Williams (surprised Budarick & Starcevich survived)

Wasn't expecting to lose Naismith & Roberton but will just use my 5 trades as best I can.

You are right though , hopefully they survive and score enough to generate some meaningful $$$

T Berry
D Cameron *

L Vandermeer

may have missed someone
Salivating over the midfield options, but 2 at a time would of been better. I’ll hold green until next week.? Bennel will move in tomorrow once Final teams announce. Fingers crossed we can all get 5/6 weeks from Harley.

I was thinking last night you could possibly get away with running Rowell , Pickett , McInerney & Bennell (fingers crossed) all onfield and trying to bolster other lines first.

Sounds like McHenry will play forward , Caldwell is highly rated.

Certainly will be lots of options available Round 3 + the likes of Doedee & Pittonet , some astute coaches may even do a tricky move if bringing in Houli or Zac Attack etc.

Any stats on Berry or Vandermeer as juniors or their roles?
Thomas Berry (20 yr, 185 cm, 76 kg)
  • Averaged 57DT and 73 SC in the 2018 NAB AFL U18C and 93 DT and 128 SC in the 2018 SANFL U18s
  • As a junior, was used all over the ground.
    • Was successful early in the year as a mid/fwd, averaging 20 disposals, one score assist and one goal per game
    • Used as a defender in the 2018 AFL U18, averaging only 11 disposals and 3 IPs
    • Kicking cited as a massive concern in his junior year, only 42% efficiency across CD recorded games and never had a kicking efficiency above 50% in any competition
  • In the 2019 NEAFL:
    • He applied 123 tackles which was 3rd highest in the NEAFL
    • Applied 40 I50 tackles, 14 more than any other player in the NEAFL
    • Rated above average for ball winning and clearance work, but kicking cited as a concern
    • Kicking efficiency of only 36%, 11th worst of the top 100 players for forward half kicks
Laitham Vandermeer (21 yer, 180 cm, 77 kg)
  • Averaged 42DT and 57SC in the 2018 NAB AFL U18C and 73 DT and 100 SC in the TAC Cup
  • Re junior years:
    • Played 3 seasons of TAC Cup, including one as an over-ager in 2018.
    • Quick, outside ball winner, had six lowest CP rate of any Murray Bushranger, rating elite for a midfielder for UPs
    • Kicking was a highlight, recording the second best kicking efficiency of any TAC Cup midfielder
    • Played for Vic Metro in the AFL U18 but rated below average for SC points and disposals.
  • Re 2019 VFL year:
    • Speedy line breaker, who had an up and down season, finishing with more than 90SC in four of his 15 games and dropping below 50 SC on 7 occasions.
    • Played wing and across half-back, rating average for disposals and UPs but elite for CPs - ranking sixth at Footscray for total groundball-gets.
    • Kicking efficiency dropped 19% in the VFL and rated poor (despite good kicking efficiency in the TAC Cup)
From the 2019 and 2020 Prospectus!

Not much I could really gather on either, both seem unproven in the state leagues and seem to have issues with kicking efficiency which is a concern.
