I think I read somewhere that Collins is injured too.
Yeah I know. Think I'll have to carry one of the two on the bench this week. Still not sure who I end up trading out of Collins / Moore, probably be Collins the more I think about it.

Think I'm going to go ROB to Boak and Drew/Duursma to Garner/Atley depending on selections.

Thought of hanging onto ROB but have decided that he probably won't make it to Rd 13 and can use his value onfield.

Is Boak the right way to go (bye suits) or am I better off going for a 'value' pick given that cash is hard to come by? Other keepers are Danger, Kelly, Heeney.

Morning all, I have Coniglio and M. Crouch on my bench. I need to get Lloyd in but I need probably another F4,5 and 6 or another midfielder.

Backs' Whitfield, Hurn, Salem, Laird, B.Smith, Hoare, LOchart, Answerth.
Midfield; Cripps, Neale, Oliver, Fyfe, M.Crouch, Coniglio, Stack, Gibbons, Hayes, Stocker and B.Scott
Rucks; Gawn, Goldy....Bines
Forwards; Danger, Heeney, T.Kelly, Balta, Petrucelle, Drew, Burgess.

Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Zach Williams look alarming. Probably going to have to trade.

Suspect the masses will lump onto Stewart so will be avoiding that. Looking at:

Crisp
Ellis
McGovern
Hurley
Witherden

Probably a toss up for me between Crisp and Witherden. I thought both would be top 10 defenders at the start of the year, and expect both to improve from here.
I thought the same re Witherden, but now I’m less sure. What makes you think he will improve from here?

I'd also urge caution on Crisp for who is missing around him.

Ideally you want Crisp playing freely not close matching his player but with Dunn, S'berg and now Langdon out, more pressure goes on Roughead, Howe and Crisp to play lock-down roles.

Just my thoughts.

Is it too early to bring Heeney in? Did anyone see how he looked last week from a fitness/injury perspective? a breakeven of 85 and up against the Pies this week...

Was very good last week but for some reason I'm under the impression that the Pies' midfield tends to chew up opposition midfielders and spit them out (except for the yucky blue and yellow kind which they tend to steer well clear of).

Love the comment and as a habitual buyer, like yourself I'm guessing, I get it. His scoring rate per minute is phenomenal and his total scores off low TOG are good. It's just the total score is too far off Grawndy, even without the injury risk. I bought last season on the expectation of increasing game time throughout the year. It didn't eventuate and the injury came. I wanted to highlight the low TOG and that it's unlikely to improve in the near term.

@Herbie66
Thanks for that , no idea what I will do with ROB at R2 yet , maybe he keeps his spot even when Jacobs is back.

Will do 2 downs this week to build the bank , then re-assess again.

Have a eye on 2 defenders for D5 & D6.

Still hoping my bench may prove fruitful

Young player, clearly going to be a fantasy stud. Was predicted to take step up to 100 by many, most likely having a low period - banking on mean reversion latter half of year.

No real rhyme of reason to it other than he'll probably improve.

As a Witherden owner, don't touch him. Starts games really slowly, gets tons of cheap kicks towards the ends of games, can never crack the ton.
Thanks, that’s good colour ... I have him in DT and have found him a frustrating pick, albeit I haven’t watched too many Lions games. Haven’t seen masses of him even when I have though.

Still feel like he's one to look at next year - defence is a different game this year (which is why I'm still considering my trade ins of Houli and Blakely). Feels like buying into a trap.

In his 39 game career he has never scored 100 with less than 27 disposals. Averaging 22.22 disposals this season in comparison to 23.35 last season (excludes injury affected game of 4 Disposals).

Career CPR% of 20.96% and recording a 20.99% CPR in 2019.

Since 2018 has averaged 22.37 disposals (23 if injury affected game is excluded):
SC avg when disposals equal/exceed 23: 99.5 from 14 (low of 66 and a high of 131, 8/14 below 100, 2/14 120+)
SC avg when disposals below 23: 70.06 from 16 (low of 13 and a high of 92)

At 450k I think he is a great buy candidate.

He is one you’ll want to have at the end of the season and won’t get much cheaper than that.

I'd get Whitfield first...bigger ceiling and all class.

Moore probably ready to trade, just depends on your circumstances if there's more pressing issues or if it involves having to field someone you'd rather not.

Yeah, I just sold Heeney, pre his last good score. I sold on the basis of not enough CBA attendances (there is some good stats in the midfielders discussion thread) and potential LT injury issues — reportedly doing the buddy thing where you only train for 30 minutes a week tops. I'm disappointed at missing the score on the w/e and didn't see him play, but still comfortable with the choice to offload atm. Back to back tonnes will have me questioning my decision though...
