This refers to dream team but yeah, I'm surprised.
AFL Fantasy is different from Real Dream Team.

AFL Fantasy has a much different price structure to RDT and SC so I dont really think it will affect it much as the breakevens dont fluctuate as wildly as RDT and SC.

The players getting their avg score ONLY applies to AFL FANTASY... NOT Real DT.

Real DT is run by virtual sports so it will be the same as SC.

This relates to AFL Fantasy.

Players named in Adelaide/Geelong squads of 25 will be awarded their average. If players have not played, their breakeven score will count.

Sloane will still get a zero in AFL Fantasy

Here is the tweet from Warnie - I'm pretty sure he does AF.

Averages or best 18 is so crap... No chance of big name players tanking, no chance of lesser likes going big. Part of the fun (and frustration) of SC is being randomly blessed / torched by circumstances out of your control. Zero (DNP) would be the fairest option and would make people cover with their bench. I really hate when good planning (ie having cover in case of unforseen circumstances) is trumped by "fairness" or "making people happy".

IMO a best 18 scenario is the worst result. Absolutely saves people even if they aren't impacted by the cats / crows game.

Does AFL fantasy have a rolling lockout and ability to loophole?

I would definitely agree that 0 for the cats and crows players would be fairest outcome. In saying that... having 3 of them myself, with Harry Taylor... I would take his average to be honest.

Never really contemplated this, however do players predicted scores for the match across the two competing teams sum in total to 3300? Fascinated to know the answer now!

Edit: Obviously they can't as VS unaware of selected teams.

PS. Thanks for answering your own question. :D

But given it impacts their prices, that also makes it unfair. Brodie Smith as an example will get 55. I know his form has been down of late, but give me a spell. His average is SEVERELY impacted by two concussions. Is it "fair" to give him a 55 and trash his price even more? There are lasting implications beyond this week.

Would say not as each of the 2 competing teams have more than 22 players each with projected socres

After a quick look at the fixture, this would make Boomer's 400th game against Carlton on 1st of August, instead of up at the Gabba against Brisbane.

I normally don't rate the panic room with their late outs but this could makes sense
I think he had Gastro this week, so probably not fully recovered yet.
