Anyone else brave enough to VC BKen?
No. There were 20 Gold Coast blokes whose SC score last week I would not have taken if they were VC. Would rathar take a punt on Gawn or Hogan type if having a field day against the Bombers is the first criteria.

Pendles into Danger for me.

Pendle's score the week following a sub 100 score since 2011.
132, 134, 135, 155, 118, 105, 110, 135, 114, 110

Few 130+ scores in that mix.

New question is though, do you raise the standard higher if you are starting so many captain options?

Pendlebury into Danger/Ablett for me. To think what Danger/Ablett would have scored if they actually kicked straight! :O

VC Treloar into C Dangerfield.

If Adam can go 125 in an abysmal loss, surely he can only go better in (hopefully) a win.

Fair enough. Won't matter anyway because everyone will end up with the C on Gaz or Danger

I'm filling in for a footy game in Geelong this Saturday arvo and it's stuffing my Goldy loophole up. I'm thinking I should tell them I have more important commitments.

For those of you contemplating Pendlebury in the Captain's loophole this week:
Since 2012 Pendlebury is 84/122.5
When all 3 of Pendlebury/Swan/Sidebottom play he is 63/126.2
When Sidebottom misses, but Swan plays he is 10/120.5

When Swan misses and Sidebottom plays he is 11/103.3!!!

There are no games where both Swan and Sidebottom miss.

Pendlebury only has 4 scores out of 11 above 110 when Swan misses: 113, 116, 118, 128
He also has 5 scores out of 11 below 100 when Swan misses: 95, 89, 88, 86, 85

Keep in mind, Pendlebury doesn't go under 100 too often, but does it nearly 50% of the time when Swan misses!

Gee those are some worrying stats. Treloar's addition might help him out somewhat if it's a matter of him struggling without support. Thanks for those stats.

I had typed up something along these lines, then figured I should read the whole thread first :)

A reminder that there are useful stats aplenty here:

The big question for me is who to captain out of Ablett in Perth against Freo v Danger in Canberra against GWS.

Edit: Giants game is at Manuka

Maybe toss a coin.
I have a feeling that Rodney Eade and Gary Ablett are not best mates. I'm not suggesting Ablett is a bad pick and he is in my team but I think that Eade will continue to work to make Gold Coast a more even team and Ablett won't be the 130 player we have all learnt to love. Where as Chris Scott wants to have Paddy's babies. Unlimited go out on to the ground and do whatever you want freedom.
I wouldn't be surprised if Paddy has a bit of a down game after such a massive build up and win against Hawthorn but I think he is a slightly safer bet than Gaz.

With Weitering at D6 and Kerridge/Kennedy at F5/6, and midfield being the place where most cash is made generally, I decided that a donut player is redundant. Wyatt can't loophole this week or the next, so I'll be going with Dangerfield C this week.

I went with Loersch from the Suns, they've got a lot of saturday games this year plus a few sunday ones sprinkled in but no friday games so that always leaves something open for the loophole option depending who playing, so it'll be Dusty this week for me.

Thanks for that info Rowsus. For me Pendlebury is the only available loophole as I have Grimley who plays 2nd on Saturday and no other loopholing opportunity.
