Sicily I reckon... has the history but has been frustrating this season. Hunter Clarke would be an interesting one.
Yeah, Sic is the obvious one but if the Hawks are close to finals he will play whatever role is needed of him (e.g. shut down). Simmo is looking likely at this point - Carlton have a hard run so he should see plenty of the ball!

Thanks RC

I have Lloyd and Zilliams but not the other 3 unfortunately. I have Sicily, BSmith and Shaw as my other defenders so I am pretty thin down back even though those 3 have been Ok. Of the 3 you mention I would probably go Whitfield however that would mean I would have to stay the course with ROB over Gawn. Not the worst option but a big risk nonetheless with Gawn playing Richmond this week.
Whitfield over rookies maybe a 50ppg upgrade (ie 110 v 60). Gawn probably 25ppg+ upgrade on ROB (125 v 100) plus anything gained in C points. Both are very lucrative upgrades. Birchall D6 and Gawn R2 is a decent middle ground.

I’d either do Whitfield + 1 trade and ROB OR Birchall and Gawn

Would lean towards Birchall and Gawn if you have a few finals to win this round.

Was considering him last week but would have also ended up with Luke Ryan aswell in my x vs y scenario. Could be a good pick up for next year if he continues to play midfield and retain his defence status.
He's definitely come on in leaps and bounds. Probably one of Richo's downfalls, by not giving him or Coffield a game earlier in the season. They were both great last year and didn't get a look in until recently.

Yeah plenty of risks, Whitfield option is definitely more poddy than gawn and over 4 weeks...tough call, good luck.

As usual I've been playing around with my tables again. This one will focus on Defenders .... as usual I don't have the trade answers as everyone has different goals, numbers of trades left, opinions on certain players, upcoming draws etc

- As said before, I use this format to visualise info in a more comprehensive "overarching" format and see no harm in sharing
1564379531011.png Notes:
- I used an ~87 ave cut off when selecting players to look at ... and added Johannisen, Birchall, Simpson and Howe this week
- There might be some gremlins as I work out my own BE's (thanks to THCLT), Ave's etc

Abbreviations used:
- OR (overall average ranking from the selected players)
- 3R and 3 Rnd (3 round ranking / average)
- 5R and 5 Rnd (5 round ranking / average)
- $ PP (current $ cost per point scored)
- MN (Magic Number of my full competition players calculated $ PP ave a few weeks ago - might have changed but won't be by a lot)
- BE - ave (difference between my calculated BE and the players current average)

Here is my Midfielders version .... same caveats as before regarding specific trades and calculated BE's

I've got 3 trades and around $180k which is handy. If I did this is have 1 trade and around $75k I think. Cash is very handy. Probably a week early I think
An option could be N Larkey to T Hawkins which would leave approximately 60,000 to 65,000 remaining. Hately/Bewley could be traded for a fwd/mid providing cover on multiple lines (by utilising the switch with the forward line) which could either allow Heeney/Gray and Hawkins to be looped at F6 or M Crouch and I Heeney/R Gray at M8.

If you grab a basement dpp this should increase your remaining salary to roughly 200,000 and allow Logue to one of T Stewart/L Ryan/K Simpson dependent on future price changes providing cover for your defs and the ability to loop with Sicily, etc.

1: ROB to Bines, 2: Logue to Whitfield.....will have 2 trades remaining with 303k in the bank.

Will then probably go Stack to either Bont or Yeo, then upgrade Setterfield to best available fwd cash-wise with last trade to have a full team of permos.

Considering

Fyfe -> Dusty
Tuohy -> Whitfield

For my final 2 trades

Alternatively I can do Clarke -> Hill and Tuohy -> Whitfield

The obvious reason for option 2 is Fyfe > Martin but option 1 takes out any risk with Fyfe missing matches or getting injured which looks a big chance imo with how he is playing/moving on the weekend.

Surely with Fyfe you would wait until that decision is made whether it be public or late out? there's plenty of options for the remaining rounds post Freo games that will enable you to move him to someone in time?

Yeah I will just contemplating now but if I want Whitfield I have to do Fyfe first which would 2nd game of the week so will have to make the call Saturday lunch time

I want Fyfe and also Boak but think I need to wait a couple more weeks just to lessen the hit of any other potential problems.

I need to remain strong and resist the urge.

I reversed some trades in RDT on the weekend at the last moment on what i thought would be an upgrade which would've cost me just under 100 points if I went through and left me 1 trade.

I'm dodging bullets in RDT and taking some hits in SC - a real roller-coaster season.

My defence is Lloyd, Williams, Laird, B Smith, Sicily & Logue. 2 trades left:

A. Logue to Whitfield and $30k left
B. Logue to Houli and $80 k left

Not sure which is the best way to go.
