There will be much wider actions in the coming days imo.

McKenna has been training with Essendon.

Essendon Played Sydney last week.

Sydney Played North Melbourne this week.

I' wouldn't at all be surprised if all staff and players at all three clubs were directed to self-isolate for the next two weeks minimum as part of the standard contact-tracing protocols.
I guess that could potentially happen if there is a risk that another player had been positive at the time.

I think it is more likely that the current fixture gets shuffled and adjusted to play midweek games if Essendon are not able to train/play for a fortnight due to isolation requirements.

For example as Essendon are due to play Melbourne in Rd 3 and Carlton in Round 4 those clubs could have played on Thursday night with the current Thursday night pushed back a couple of days. The problem is those clubs have already played so there would need to be another solution with a fixture adjustment in one or more of the other Round 4 games.

SC getting way to hard to deal with this year. Will update team in leagues to avoid becoming a ghost ship and distorting comp for those that still want to play but fast losing interest in this season.

Personally I was always taking the season off before the virus anyway.

I think all super coaches need to seriously consider giving the year a miss or taking a VERY relaxed approach to what might otherwise be an absolute nightmare of a year.

I reckon they (SC) will just simply make this round "Best 18" so effectively the same as the bye weeks of seasons past.
If this is the case, do loopholes still work?? Can't remember what happens in bye rounds it has been so long...

Gillon speculated that McKenna may have caught it within the last week and appears to be asymptomatic in response to a direct question about whether he brought it back from Ireland. Given that AFL clubs are well and truly inside the bubble there's certainly some risk that he caught it from someone else inside the bubble (who may also be asymptomatic), if transmission did indeed occur within the last 1-2 weeks.

They'll be working hard on the contact tracing over the next couple of days that's for sure - fingers crossed it isn't as bad as the scenario that popped into my head above.
