They should have just given the Cats and Crows their average scores, much fairer. Not sure why it is so difficult.

I traded in 4 Melbourne players last week with the knowledge there's no best 18's this year. Ill spit chips if I end up with 3 donuts a week later because of it

Average scores is not really fair with only 2 rounds of data, some huge outlier scores and allows abuse with the captain score too.

If they didn’t go down that road with the crows/cats game can’t see it happening here.

The reason I assume they don't do this is so price rises aren't distorted. Someone posted earlier about being happy if Viney gets his average. That number would go in the system and then distort the averages for the next 3 weeks. I know I wouldn't be alone in crying bloody murder if that happened.

If they were going to give scores of any type, it would have to be related to their CURRENT price (i.e. giving the average score for a player of that price). They'd have the numbers in their system to do that type of thing.

0 for Dees/Bombers players, top 18 scores does seem fairest. Would like to know ASAP though, as if it's average scores used for this game, I would make Viney captain (don't have Gawn).

Thanks Herbie. Certainly the season for it. Think I've just taken my first breath in about 25 minutes! Plenty of time for Grundy to punish me still!

Hopefully the reward will be there with some earlier upgrades in the next few weeks.

Not too worried about Whitfield - he's a keeper and owned by over 50% of teams so won't be looking at moving him on unless it looks like he's going to miss multiple weeks.

I was thinking Whitfield would have been a bargain under $ 500k as one of your quick upgrade targets , but you already have him.

Can't do averages and allow people to lock in viney or gawn as cap risk free.

There’s no truely fair option. It’s just one of those things that can’t be foreseen - like the lights going off in that BBL game. Not everyone is going to be happy.

Averages seems ‘more’ unfair to me though.

That was your choice to do that, and it comes down to bad luck. Can't say using average scores based on 2 games data is entirely fair either, if it was later in the season it would be preferable, but players with 1 massive game skew their average significantly at this point.
