It’s either Greene to Fyfe or Cavarra to Sturt for my second trade.

The rookies debuting this week look pretty promising so not to upset on missing Sturt. Wish I knew more about Greene’s injury.

Little doubt I would have traded Ceglar this week to get to Gawn. However decided to trade Dusty Instead so I will count that as a win for now. Time will tell if it was a good call overall.

Me trading Dusty this week guarantees he will return next week fit as a fiddle. You can all thank me later.

Stuck a bit on this one... With the shortened season is it better to target on-field points or cash cows? Is it better to paint the fence with one up one down trades, or build the bank with two corrective rookie trades?

1. Nic Nat to Pittonet and green to Howe
2. Nic Nat to pittonet and green to Sturt/Cameron/Bennell
3. Green to Sturt/Cameron/Bennell and conroy to Pittonet
All about getting the right cash cows at this point in my view. You can sideways/restructure once forgoing a rookie stops costing so much.

Back for a bit more trade advice

Got a rough idea of which preference i'm leaning towards but would be good to get some 2nd thoughts

Options for this week are;

1. Cavarra - Sturt: Just the one trade of a non-playing rookie to one with seemingly good job security. Don't see Cavarra returning soon, unfortunately fall 10k of Houston - Howe if I make this trade.

2. Noble/Houston - S.Hill/Howe: I think Noble only has room for about 50-70k more growth. Hill has good job security, arguably better scoring potential but poses an injury risk. Allows me to get Howe and chop Houston who i've lost all faith in. This option forgoes Sturt.

3. T.Brown/Houston - Sturt/Howe: Similar to the above option but i get Sturt who already has a 100 score behind him. Would mean i play Sturt over Mcinerney or Bennell this week. Similiar to above, i think T.Brown has room to grow but i think he will increase by about 100-120k more. However he could put in a poor showing this week and get dropped next week. A non-playing M11 wouldn't be a disaster as it gives me the option to loop. A part of me believes Sturt's score was a bit flukish, but he has GC and Adelaide after Port so fairly confident he can hit 300k and make 170k. Say Brown grows 120k more, i'm effectively using a trade for a gain of only 50k to facilitate another trade. Not something i would do most years but this year is obviously different. Can have a look at Williamson and S.Hil with this option and potentially grab them for Cavarra & BZT via dpp

4. BZT/Houston - Williamson/Howe: This option drops a non-playing rookie for a playing one so the risk of losing potential cash growth isn't there assuming BZT doesnt return soon. Williamson's JS is a bit shaky even with Newman injured and his scoring potential doesn't seem brilliant based off previous years. Getting rid of BZT also eliminates my captain and defence loop for the week.

Any thoughts much appreciated. I think the straight bat option is #3, #2 isn't far behind. Writing this has almost completed turned me off #4

The KISS move is just Cavarra to Sturt or DCameron. I’m stuck with Cavarra too and not sure when I can finally get rid of him. Best result if thinking only about cash gen.

Unfortunate that u just short of Houston to Howe after that.

Perhaps best to look at your trades over two rounds and see which combos work best. I think you would probably want Williamson and Hill next round.

Can’t really see an obvious trade but out of your 4 options, 1 seems the KISS one but if you are sick of the Houston/Howe differential, I preferred Option 2 to 3.

FWIW I do have Sturt, I don’t really rate his long term cash potential but think he’ll be handy as he can make a very quick 100k. Can swap to Rankine potential after two rounds.

Pies fans...

Do you think that Darcy Cameron will hold his spot for many weeks to come?
Guess my question is based around this. If you had to bring one in this week and probably skip the other, would you bring in Bennell or Cameron?

Nervous about Cameron’s job security, but also wary or bennells limited minutes and potential to have a week off every now and then

I was planning on observing young Harley for one more week before bringing him in (after his first price rise).

I don't know who to prioritise:

Sturt
Georgiades
Cameron
Rivers

It hurts but I am missing Pittonet because with so much deadwood in my team I can't be chopping NicNat.

Geodude probably wont make the final 22. Out of the other three, Sturt has the lowest BE so I reckon he's the one to get. If Cameron or Rivers look to be must haves then you could possibly grab one or both after one price rise (if bank permits).

I would have Georgiades last on that list due to uncertainty on his job security. The others are probably ranked according to your needs. Not sure how good any of their job security is tbh but Sturt and Rivers look the safest for the time being. I'll be passing on Pittonet also and bringing in Sturt and Cameron, but I grabbed Rivers last week.

I have a “spare” trade to get Cameron, but no obvious candidates to get rid of.

Brown, McInerney, King, Budarick, etc. still have some room to grow and seem to be in the squad. I quite like the idea of going with Comben to Cameron as cover this week, as suggested by Rowsus.

What are your thoughts?

Really want to get Howe in so latest thinking is to do Fort via Brander, leaves me with 100k, allows me to keep DMac (in case he comes good) and still allows me to have a look at Ash tonight and use BZT if he goes well or swing Noble back onfield. Would love 3 trades this week so I could get Sturt as well.. decisions..
