Do you even need to trade ?

Very nice looking side , looks like you have all the must have rookies.

Depending on how you feel about Cripps , one option could be Cripps - Ridley.
I do not have to trade if its not a must trade for someone like impey and others but thanks glad you like

Haven't had a close look yet but:

I've got Cripps... so that's a problem. I've got the cash to upgrade him to a "true premo", but...

I've also got Caldwell... so it looks like he needs to be replaced.

I've also got Sharp, Fullarton, Jones, Scott... and haven't got Mcdonald or Jordon... (any other must-have rookies I'm missing?)

I'm thinking cash is king at the moment, so I'm thinking about keeping Cripps for now and going:

Caldwell to McDonald/Impey?
Jones to Jordon (via DPP) Would get Brockman forward, who I think I'd rather play over Rowe...

Status... Still thinking. Any feedback?

Team + $200k B = issues...
B: Laird, Daniel, Stewart, Short, Clark, Highmore, (Kozi, Sharp)
M:Steele, Oliver, Macrae, Merrett, Cripps, Campbell, Powell, Guilden (Berry, Brockman, Scott)
R:Grundy, Flynn (Meek)
F: Dunkely, Martin, Caldwell, Ziebell, Warner, Rowe, (Fullarton, Jones)

I had a busy weekend and missed my planned trade of Gaff to Mills....then planned gaff to Brayshaw and got sidetracked again. Kind of annoyed not just lost points but it means i don't a spare trade to bring on my avatar this week!

Gaff/Cahill to A brayshaw/Jordan my trades this week. My team and structure seem fine but none of my guys have fired just yet...i really need some big scores from Jelly Zerrett and Neale over the next few weeks 😬🤞

I love that my man Tex was written off by so many with the calls for him to retire...not being best 22. The big fella is back for a swan song and now he is even fantasy relevant!😁

At this stage

De Goey > Tex
Scott > Warner

Miss bringing Impey in but you can’t have them all. Like the cash grab trade so hopefully the big Texan can keep it going for a month or longer. Hard to ignore the -114 breakeven on offer.

OK, I think I've had some sense talked into me, lol and will sit on the Grundy/Gawn/Flynn ruck line.

Still go some problems:

Laird, Stewart, Short, Duggan, Clark, Highmore (Koschintski, Sharp)
Macrae, Dunkley, JKelly, Merrett, Taranto, Campbell, Gulden, Berry (Powell, Dow, Scott)
Gawn, Grundy (Flynn)
Dusty, Phillips, Zeibell, Dahiher, Warner, Rowe (Fullarton, Cahill)

So one likely trade is Cahill -> JordOn leaving $73,500 ITB

Duggan/Taranto/Phillips are problems, but may not be able to be fixed at this stage. I think I would like to get Rowe off field so Dow -> Impey is probably the best solution for that.

Dow -> Impey or Phillips ->Tex

Phillips to Tex would purely be a cash grab

Anybody else see other options I'm missing?

Who to trade out of young and Clark?
I know it’s super early but I’m not missing Dunkley

Top 1/2 forward and he’s more important.

Atm I’ve traded out Clark
I like young’s upcoming fixture but his role was yuck yesterday.
Clark with dpp is handy and cheaper price keeping 50k in the bank. He has shaky js though and Duncan is coming back

Who would you guys keep?

Taranto + Dow > Ridley + Jordon(?)

Am a bit susceptible at D5/6 with Highmore / Butts.
Dow was OK to try, seems unlikely to work.

Allows taking advantage of one more mid rookie score while they last.

Reasonable or reactive?

What's wrong with Gawn/Grundy - > Meek and field Flynn at R2 ?

And then bring in JordOn , possibly 2 of the best cash cows.

Gives you a massive warchest to then fix Duggan/Phillips/Taranto if needed over the next few weeks while waiting for rookies to moo ?

Or keep those 3 and then do quick upgrades of Clark , Ziebell & Daniher instead while others are going 2 down/1 up.

Cahill & Dow might come good.

That would be pretty risky, but if I was going down the Grundy/Gawn to Jordon road, I would do a full restructure

Grundy -> Oliver/Mitchell and Cahill -> JordOn

Leaving:

Laird, Stewart, Short, Duggan, Clark, Highmore (Koschintski, Sharp)
Oliver/Mitchell, Macrae, Dunkley, JKelly, Merrett, Taranto, JordOn, Gulden (Powell, Dow, Berry)
Gawn, Flynn (Fullarton)
Dusty, Phillips, Zeibell, Dahiher, Warner, Campbell (Rowe, Scott)

Think I would go the 2 rookies myself.

Make $ 500k (easy money to upgrade Clark , Ziebell & Daniher Round 6 ish)

Based on projections Round 7 you could nearly do :-

Meek - > Treacy
Flynn - > Gawn/Grundy

Then Round 8 - > 1 down/1 up

Certainly have the potential to take a risk and go BANG !!!

Gundy -> Meek and Cahill -> JordOn would leave nearly $600k ITB which could fix a lot of problems, lol

Would probably mean a hit in rankings until cash is spent, but I agree Meek and JordOn are probably the best two cash cows I dont have.

It would also mean I have gone to the dark side

Did you play Powell on your bench? If so, can you move Campbell FWD when you trade out Cahill and then you can put Powell/Jordon on field in MID. This will let you put Rowe on the FWD bench. This possibly addressed your on field rookie situation and not as vital to do Dow-> Impey (unless you want to do this as a rookie correction)

This week, yes I did have Powell on the bench, and fielded Rowe FWD

Exactly

Only need Flynn & Meek to work for another 4 games.

$ 600k gives you 3 upgrades in Round 5 & 6 easy as pie.

Surely you picked Duggan , Taranto & Phillips for a reason so can't see the point ditching them after 2 games.

Essentially you have replaced R2 with a higher scoring R3 , replaced Cahill with JordOn so your onfield scores theoretically improve.

You have also brought in 2 of potentially the best cash cows.

Given yourself 🏦 to then look at your 3 problem children.

And then allow yourself possibly 3 upgrades while everyone else is waiting for cows to fatten.
