Do 2 trades this week And bring Simpkin in and bank 200k and use 1 trade next week to bring Whitfield in when he drops in price.
Or just bring Fyfe in this week?

I think we have missed the boat with Fyfe.
He is too expensive to bring in now. Need to hope he has a bad game soon and wait for a price drop.

Will Dunkley being out have a postive impact on Macrae? Could be thrown back in the guts?

Need to jettison Ben Long, who's round 1 high SC ratio was classic fool's gold.
$40k short of Long to Simpkin so will need a downgrade.
Maybe Mcasey who's been warming my bench doing not much, need to find a bubble boy (already have Trivers and Bennell)

Will Tom Williamson from the blues keep his spot? $146k DEF

Who knows with Bevo... But after several losses you'd have to think throwing one of your proven ball winners and best players back into the guts would be one of the first things you'd do as coach.

I hear ya, I didn't start both him and Neale last year and payed the price. My first 2 players picked this year.

Fyfe's only knock was that he rarely has an injury free season.
But with 17 games only it bodes well for him and would've been picked in the starting mids if we knew that at round 1.

I see Cunners may be back as well, hoping doesn't impact Simpkin's CBAs - does anyone have Simpkin's CBAs anywhere?

That makes two of us! The upside on these two are huge (I mean you could say in hindsight) haha

Also only 46% of the Comp have Neale and 39% have Fyfe.. (not sure how many have both), so clearly not everyone agrees (or just can’t afford to get them in atm)

With no Sturt & going early on Williamson, I'm pretty happy with my rookie situation, enabling me to trade elsewhere. Immediately after RD 1 I regretted paying 600k for Whitfield, and it hurts so much more to see potential breakouts I highly considered instead of Lynch in Simpkin and B. Smith doing so well. Overall pretty happy with my side overall regardless.


Tossing up between two options:

Whitfield & Lynch < Bazlenka & Simpkin

or


Long & Lynch < Bazlenka & Fort



I'm leaning towards the first here, although Fort could make alot of cash (wanted to bring him in for RD 2) and I will need to get Long at some stage. I personally prefer Baz over Simpkin (Simpkin isn't going to score 140 in a loss every week, 5 free kicks and Cunnington out helped a heap. Bevo's willingness to play Smith in the guts taking time off the 3 big guys (plus Dunkley out for an extended period) really makes me think he can go to that next level, aswell as still going 100+ in a losing side the first 2 rounds.

Would love to get some thoughts, you guys were great help in giving me the confidence to select Pittonent 2 weeks ago. Once again much appreciated

Not interested in Bennell at all ? Hopefully McInerney is back , sounds like Pickett will be dropped , T Brown keeps hanging on.

Fort has gained my attention as well along with the Simpkins , Smiths , Greenwood , Petracca , Ceglar etc etc

Long - > Bennell could be a option

I was so keen on Fyfe in the early preseason but he also tricked me with all these comments about him playing more forward this season, and also training forward in the preseason.

He should finally make it into my side this round.
