Was going to hang onto Duffman (Doh!) for a few more weeks but decision made.

The question is whether to go down to Docherty for cash or across to Dixon as a keeper.
A lot of risk in both.

Think it has to be Docherty and use the cash to add Buddy/Gaz/Pendles a fallen premium next week. Would rather be adding the proven super premiums than Big Charlie (even though as a Suns fan gotta love how he plays).

But sure does not seem like the coaches like Docherty. Had to wait several weeks for a game even though the team not travelling great, then on the bench this week.

I don't like trading in players close to their peak price, so Birchall would be a not yet for me.
I think Mayes will make more money, faster, and have better JS and less injury problems.
Have you thought about Grimes instead of Birchall?
Agree with Rowsus about Birchall.

Birchall is currently priced at the price of a pure midfield premium.

Aight, Duffield > Docherty. Risky, but with my 3500 ranking at the moment, I need to start upgrading as soon as possible to try to peg back some positions and this is the best way to do it.

Duffield hasn't been scoring like a premium anyway so I don't feel I lose too much by bringing in a rookie for him. Docherty plays Melbourne this week, with no Hanley; surely he's good for at least 65 points. Will allow me to bring in a premium midfielder next week (Selwood or Cotchin are looking good) and another premium the week after... maybe Heath Shaw or a bottomed out Dangerfield vs GWS.

Risky, but... #yolo

Spot on, Bomber18. The last 2 seasons he has averaged 94. He has played 156 games now, so is outside of the area where you'd typically see a 20+ point/game season average increase. Let's be super generous, and say he will finish the season with 110 average. I really think 105 is being generous, too. Also, he hasn't played a full season since 2008, so let's assume he plays 21 games this season.
He currently has 510 in 4 games.

If he was to finish the season with what I think is a really high guess of 110/game, then from here he will average:

21 x 110 = 2,310 --> (2,310 - 510)/17 = 105.9/game from here on in.

If he finishes the season with, what is still a big jump for him, an average of 105/game, then from here he will average:

21 x 105 = 2,205 --> (2,205 - 510)/17 = 99.7/game from here on in.

Don't fooled into the illusion, that his current 127/game average will translate into something like 115 by seasons end!
Agree with Rowsus about Birchall.

Birchall is currently priced at the price of a pure midfield premium.
While no one expects Birchall to keep up his current average the question remans, what better options are there? Assuming most people have Goddard, Gibbs, Hanley and Heppell (more specifically I do) the only real options for offloading Duffield(and in my case that is a definite) are Birchall, Hartlett or Watts! I think that Birchall is by far the most consistent of those and arguably has the highest/equal highest ceiling...So, why wouldn't you pick him?

Which is why I'm getting Docherty in instead.

Not sold on Hartlett just yet - hasn't copped a tag, injury prone, Port have had an easy run so far. Birchall is fully priced, would rather until he has a down game and get him cheaper, but he's a very good scorer. Dixon and all these other blokes around the same price... not sold on any of them.

I'm taking the money and running. Will wait until Shaw bottoms out, Waters/Scotland/Hanley etc. play some more games and see where they stand.

Birchall has definitely elevated his game this season, has really added a contested side to his game and has been involved much more in the midfield and at stoppages. That is not to say that he will average premium midfield numbers for the whole season however he has definitely added an extra dimension to his game and is also kicking goals now.

I would. I'm tossing up between birchall and buddy as my upgrade this week. I think the easy draw before the bye is relevant. The potential to score is there and it could be a while before you can get him Cheaper than $560k. By then the season is gone. It can go either way IMO. I think if he spuds it up in the next to weeks his price will not go that high. If he gets 100 points the next to games his,price will peak at 630ish k. I don't have a problem personally paying a high price for in form players. That's the point in getting them. Waiting for the, to drop significantly in price means form is down which then leads me to believe there are better options. If you're not worried about 70's creeping him get him now. I am worried about those 70's which is why I haven't don't the trade yet and am considering buddy instead. Don't really want to bring a midfielder yet. Not to mention my midfield targets have played anyways lol.

I don't see how he is fully priced when his projected break evens are under 60 the next two weeks. He will go up another 50k. While I know he will then drop quick by the time he drops to this price he has 3 easy games. I don't think he will be cheaper than this until after halfway through the season and it won't be by much

That is a beautiful sight - $1,021,500 sitting on the pine in my backline, and crossed fingers Stevenson gets a late call up :/

I would suggest there is another, and possibly even more!
Grimes from Melbourne has 7 scores over 100 in his last 12 games, and has averaged 103 in that time. Being priced at $475k makes him a much better option than Watts, I would have thought. :)

This is bad, real bad... Didn't know Duffman was a late exclusion so now that leaves me really thin at the back-line and I can't trade him out!
Terlich is my emergency, should I use him or trade him out?
