I am doing this...goldy to baker locked in
My second trade in still TBC but likely Parker or Clark out to a mid or fwd premium to get the weakest rookie score off field.

Kelly and Hately the odds on favourites to join my team next week
What do you think with my posted team photo above of

Goldy -> Boak
Darling -> Baker

Keeps Drew F6 for now and also means next week I can go:

Scott -> Hately
Clark -> T.Kelly or Collins -> Laird

My issue with going Goldy to T.Kelly for example is it puts Drew onto the bench.

What are people’s thoughts on the following:

Goldy -> Boak
Darling -> Baker

Pocket the 200k and then bring in Hately and Sicily/Laird or T.Kelly next week via Clark or Collins

If I do that trade this would be how my team looks:

Can then do Scott + Clark to Hately + T.Kelly next week

Is it worth the risk or go safer with:
Collins -> Baker
Darling -> T.Kelly

?
I think you could go Boak and still bring in Tim Kelly via swinging Moore back next week....That is what I am likely doing anyway!

I think both options are solid! Goldy cash opens up options which is why i like it too

Is moving ROB on field at the expense of Goldy only viable if you already had ROB?

I'm looking to do some upgrades in the next few weeks and as suggested, Goldy will likely need to be upgraded to Gawn anyway. Is there any merit in trading Goldy to ROB this week to free up cash and then upgrading to Gawn when Sauce comes back?

Obviously missed ROB first price rise but looks like there's plenty to come

If you wait for the perfect break-even you may never build the team you want. Injuries, suspensions, must-have rookies appearing suddenly, surprisingly high or low scores putting your targets out of reach or stalling your cash cows - all of these can lay waste to the best laid plans. A be of 119 for a player you're picking to average 100+ is perfectly fine, and if teams are in a position to get him they should jump IMHO.
Hi Stephen,

What are you thoughts on my trades of
Goldy -> Boak
Darling -> Baker
And 190k

It leaves me with the above posted team and then plans next week of Constable or Scott to Hately and Clark or Collins to Laird or T.Kelly.

Do you think that or the option of this week
Collins -> Baker
Darling -> T.Kelly

Is better ?

Considering going Darling to Baker tonight. Not convinced on Baker's JS though - I don't think he will stay for too long before getting dropped. Thinking Corbett might be a safer cheap forward option (plus would get me a bit of extra cash), heard he isn't far off, but no idea how he will score. Anyone know much about him? I know he was one talked about earlier in the year.

...I hate when trades you are considering involve the early games in rounds like this.

That's exactly what I'm doing. Only difference is I have Gawn but do not have Grundy, which I think makes this strategy even more enticing...

Tim Kelly’s breakeven is still 119 or something like that, I know that this week for me Rockliff is my main goal to get in my team. Although Tim Kelly just had a great game, the best time to get him in isn’t this week but next week, not sure how much you people think he will score, but with a bit of a tag over the weekend he may drop another 5-10k?
T Kelly B/E 117, projected loss of $9K this round. The tagger may go to Danger - who knows? If your mind is for Rocky his week and TKelly next week why not run with it?

I'm mulling over a super-aggressive trade from Nank to Baker via Bines, which would leave me with going with ROB at R2 for the next 5-6 weeks and in a good spot to do consecutive early rookie upgrades at D3 and F3 over the next 2-3 weeks (specifically looking at Telly next week and then a defender over the next couple of weeks, then sitting right until the bye weeks apart from other obvious rookie downgrades).

26 trades left - team is below.

Looking to bring in Hately and/or Hayes next week if they look like panning out as natural rookie downgrades.

It's risky I know but does it make sense? I'll still have to navigate my way through the bye rounds with rucks if course but I wouldn't be bringing in Grundy until after round 13 anyway.

Rowan Marshall lost his appeal as a trade in? Why did he score so low last week?

Right lads, Im a bit at ends as to what i should be doing this week. Havent been able to watch much footy the last fortnight so i feel a bit out of the loop.

tradeadvice.png

Initially looking at Collins - Baker & Parker - Daniel. Pushes Duursma to D6 & lets Setterfield move to the mids, allowing me to loop Drew & Baker at F6/M8 on occasion.

My biggest worry is that it blows my bank with only 58k remaining coming into upgrade season and I need to start building bank to grab Macrae/Oliver/Laird in the next month.

So, my question is should i do the F/6 upgrade now and look to double down next week (Hatley + ??) , or, should I take the Lockhart & Baker double down this week and look at 1up/down for the forseeable future.

Appreciate any feedback.

Yeah I’m in a similar position with Balta/Bines on my bench which is really worrying as I’m most likely going Parker to Baker who could be gone just as quickly as he’s come (I know General consensus is his JS is ok).

I’m also really struggling to see the value in the Parker to Baker trade but that’s a completely different matter!
I'm going to change tack and trade Clark/Scott to Ross/Baker by swinging Moore to Defence. Gives me a loophole with Bines and flexibility with the ROB trade in the future. Just means playing Baker on field with Balta/Bines bench - what could go wrong hey

I reckon go the 1 Up 1 down this week mate. Hately will most likely turn out to be a much better option than Lockhart anyway.

You're in a good spot with having Wilkie, so I'd pull the trigger.

My preference is for Ross in first of that group (Ross, Baker, Lockhart), but admittedly I haven't seen that much of the Tigers recently.
Cheers Mate, the problem with Ross is I can't get to him unless I trade Walsh, Constable Scott Gibbons or Atkins all of which have neg or low b/e's.

Hence why looking at Baker or Hore, happy to let others increase in value and go after Harely or Hayes.

Pretty basic trades this week. Parker -> Baker, Burgess -> Hore. Kinda just going in circles with rookies but seems necessary to get. Unfortunately miss out on Ross but no mid rooks are ready to go and Hayes and Hately should be there next week instead.

Ok it's now 20 minutss out with Nank set to go up against Gawn and Preuss (meaning potentially two very low scores in a row) and I'm still undecided.

Should I shift out Gawn for Baker as a playable rookie (via Bines), leaving me with Gawn and ROB in the ruck for the next 6-7 weeks and roughly 560k for early prem upgrades at D2 / F3 over the next few weeks?

Any thoughts or opinions appreciated.
