Strategy Round 6: Trades

No idea what trades to do want to get Ross but the next week no way to get hately in as everyone else still has plenty of cash to make with negative or low be’s thinking of going goldy to tkelly-Walters and bring rob on field but still don’t like how exposed it leaves my ruck line although sauce shouldn’t be back for at least a month

Just returned from Avengers Endgame in time to lock in trades for this round.
Out: S Collins, B Scott
In: L Baker, M Hore
Collins for Baker via some DPP switches allows M Parker to be pushed to F7 with L Baker replacing him at F6. Feels weird to bring M Hore back in let alone after his 3rd game but B Scott's job security and cash generation looks poor due to his uncontested style and with M Hore's increased JS with Jetta missing and cash generating potential, hopefully it makes future trades easier to afford is the enticing factor.
25 trades left and 231,100 remaining salary with J Darling to stay in my team for this week and bringing in Hore allows J Clark to J Hately next week via X Duursma and then somebody to T Kelly.

Fantastic. Really wish I would have re-watched all the prior movies in the past couple of weeks/month before seeing Endgame. Don't want to give too much away but a great finale for this current arc involving Thanos and very interested to see if they extend the MCU with some new additions (characters) in the next couple of years.

Like quite a few others it seems I am planning to break SuperCoach rule 101 and trade out a well performing premo (Goldstein) and Collins to bring in Worpel and one of Marshall/Dahlhaus/Smith. O’Brien will become my R2 (Grundy R1) and it means I can move Drew to F6 and Parker off field.
Despite having a decent team on paper, most of the right rookies and all decent premos I am currently rank 30k and have started with 3 losses in my main money league so need to try something different I feel. My strategy is usually to conserve trades, be patient and target the proven premos for upgrades. However it seems that if I do that this year I will only have a good team only when it is way too late.
It makes it all the harder that I am a North man and Goldy is one of my favourite players however his ceiling has sagged (because he can’t mark the ball like he once could - I believe) and he is not likely to go on a tear and give you seller’s remorse (is that a thing). I think the points lost by O’Brien will be more than o***et by the gains of getting unreliable rookies off field.
Am I crazy??

Am in a similar predicament with regards to being behind the eight-ball in my leagues despite averaging 2,192 thus far with a low of 2,115 and a high of 2,249. With Milera's injury, I also have decided to skip the RIC Rookies in favour of doing a double upgrade this round in order to maintain pace with other teams and hopefully get some league wins on the board.
I don't 'hate' my team on paper, but have been narrowly losing my league matches (less than 50 points) due to the lack of Lloyd/Whitfield and BSmith of late.

It is of some comfort that a quality coach like yourself is in a similar predicament and considering a similar move. I know I have been unlucky in my main league matchups with a 2 point loss after my Fyfe went down and a Billings goal with 8 seconds left; and 8 point loss after a Sunday 169 from Cripps. However I just don’t understand how I can only be ranked 30k with the following team.
Def Lloyd, Whitfield, Williams, Collins, Clark, Duursma, Hore, Burgess
Mid Macrae, Oliver, Cogs, MCrouch, Libba, Rocky, Walsh, Constable, Atkins, Butters, Gibbons
Ruc Grundy, Goldy, ROB
Fwd Danger, Heeney, Kelly, Moore, Drew, Parker, Balta, Bines
As you can see I have Whit and Lloyd and a few others that have been scoring well. Rookie roulette has cost me most weeks but then that would be the case with most. Only poor captains choice was Macrae last week but then most C scores were down. No Cripps, no Neale and Oliver has cost me.
Is there something about my team I am missing?
