There's going to be some really cheap fallen premiums in the forward line over the coming weeks:

Menegola, Hoff, Chadwick, Buddy, Darling, Robbie Gray, Kelly.

Some will turn it around, some won't, good luck picking the right ones.
Menegola finishes off seasons better than he starts them.

Probably timely to ask - has Wingard been forgotten about as an upgrade target, or ruled out as unappealing?

Would be interested if anyone knows his role (/sees it in today’s game!).
It's my understanding that Clarko plans to use Wingard as a dynmaic forward type rather than a midfielder.
We've seen over the past few weeks the varying degrees of impact he can have on a game in that role and I think a lot of his SC points would come off the back of goals rather than disposals.
When he doesn't kick a bag, which could be every game or no games as a small forward, he won't score very well - let alone to a premo level.
Doesn't seem to be a viable SC option at the Hawks like he was at Port imho.

Ricky Henderson going well SuperCoach wise this year. Everything about his history screams no, but ......
Was thinking the same thing!
Has no proven history of sustaining this level of scoring, but watching him play the last few games he doesn't seem like slowing down.
However, he will be 530k+ after today which is a bit of an awkward price, particularly with Rocky seeming like similar scoring potential for 80k less.

Hate Baker’s job security think I’m going to pass on him and go for the following:

Goldy -> T.Kelly
Darling -> Worpel

Would give me a team of the following for Round 6:

D: Lloyd, Whitfield, Williams, Duursma, Scrimshaw, Hore (Collins, Clark)

M: Cripps, Cogs, M.Crouch, Steele, B.Crouch, Libba, Walsh, Constable (Setterfield, Scott, Gibbons)

R: Gawn, O’Brien (Bines)

F: Danger, Heeney, Kelly, Worpel, Marshall, Moore, (Drew, Balta)

Gives me a loop of Scott/Constable via Setterfield or I can swing Drew up to the mids for Setterfield and put him in at M8 over Constable.

24 Trades left with a plan the next week of Constable out the week after for Hately/Hayes and Moore to Daniels/Walters.

Thinking T.Atkins/Constable (if not playing again) -> Ross and Parker to Heeney.

Will have to hold Fire on Milera for a week, at least Duursma is ok cover.

I love Baker's job security.

Reckon he just looks an AFL player.

Is Baker looking like a must have, despite his shaky JS, with the lack of forward rookies available?

Looking for an upgrade but not sure which rookie is ready aside from Clark who I'm going to pull the pin on.

Parker doesn't really net me enough $$$ to do what I want but Rozee and Scrimshaw probably have another few weeks left in them...

To Andrews owners...

Are you guys going to trade if he is looking like missing 3 weeks ?
Not sure yet, depends on the health of the rest of my team, could carry him for a week or 2, have Hore stuck on the pine and can swing Duursma back if required.

In terms of others talking about no kick ins etc. It doesn't matter, Andrews is an intercept king, unfortunately hasn't been in great form, i picked him as a pod and will possibly keep him. I was waiting for Fagan to play him forward, which would have increased his scoring potential. I believe when he did his hammy in the 3rd quarter, he may have just been moved forward as Brisbane was getting beaten.

Pre season there was talk of Adams playing in defence and swinging Andrews forward, this influenced my decision to pick him. But Adams has a knee issue and was 2 weeks away, however reports suggest Adams may need surgery and or a further 4+ weeks on the sidelines, regardless I'll stick with Andrews, great player, and CD favourite with a golden ticket.

Considering my trade options for next week.

Biggest Rookie B/E are Clark, Collins and Parker.

Forward line is the weakest link atm.

____

Option 1:

Out: Collins, Clark
In: Lloyd/Whitfield and any DEF Rookie $123,900 or below.

Pros: I get in a clear premium who looks to be a top of the line of option.
Cons: No rookies on the bubble (except maybe Lockhart and Rotham) and I pay top price for Lloyd/Whitfield
_____

Option 2:
Out: Scott/Parker, Collins/Clark
In: Ross/Baker, cheaper DEF premium like Crisp, Sheppard, Laird etc.

Pros: I don't spend as much on a premium and grab a rookie on the bubble.
Cons: They might not be top of the line premiums and I get clogged with Richmond Rookies who might not have great JS.

____

Option 3:
Out: Scott, Parker
In: Ross, Baker.

Build up the cash reserves.

____

Option 4: Downgrade Collins/Clark to anyone, and upgrade up forward.

Which option do you think is best? I'm sort of leaning towards 2 but 1 does have serious appeal.

I’d much rather him play as a key defender than a forward.

He’s down to 420k which means it will cost you 100k plus to get to the Sicily,Laird,Hurn,Lloyd types. Looking to hold personally.

Yes me too, if you need to upgrade work on other rookie weaknesses, then upgrade after or during byes if you want to.

Too early to trade Collins?

Collins to Jack Ross (via D Moore to defence and Setterfield back to the forward line)
& Matt Parker to Caleb Daniel.

Thoughts?
