True no surprises here but didn’t think it would be that much forward. I swear the other week he spent the whole game forward (unlikely).
He didn't get a new DPP in Fantasy so still a mid only , so maybe he isn't playing forward that much.

I struggle to track players positions watching the game on TV (although Elliott in the CBA stood out last night) so it's almost at the stage where we need to look at players heat maps after every game to see where they have played , but then the coach will change it the following week.

Might see if I can track Cogs now during the Port game.

I reckon most aren’t looking at cogs because he’s been playing a fair bit in the forward line, much more than anyone expected.

I do recall seeing him attend some CBA last week though but not sure if that was more than previous weeks.
The thing about Cogs playing forward though is that GWS came out before the season started and said he would play more forward than mid so I can't understand why people are so surprised.
He spent the bulk of the first three quarters as an ineffective and disinterested small forward while Greene was up running on the ball.

Moved into the midfield a bit more in the last quarter (I think after an injury or two) and still looked disinterested. Really poor game from a captain.
Thanks guys. This is why I asked for help, didnt realise he had been spending time forward, just purely looked at his numbers

If I had to pick one out of Cogs & Yeo, I’d pick Yeo. Too many like for like’s in the GWS midfield that would steal each other’s points (Ward, Kelly, etc etc) not to mention Taranto’s imminent return. Yep couldn’t possibly play any worse than he has the first few rounds so you’d hope he’s got that out of his system.

Would it be possible to downgrade and wait for extra cash so you can go up to Mitchell/Treloar/Boak/Parker types?
Thanks for your thoughts. I could grab Aarts this week and then 1up/1down next week but was keen on the value midfield pick as have my eyes set on value defender the week after, then B.Smith should have bottomed out and then ill need to spend big to get big Maxy in finally down the track hence trying to eek out as much value as possible before then.

It’s hard to say, the price (value) is almost deciding the player (asset) for you - personally (west coast supporter) I’m gunning for Treloar/Mitchell/Boak to complete my mids, I’d just be mindful you’d trade Yeo/Cogs in and they’d give you donuts (not actual, but under-par premium scores). Personally they’ll have bottomed out but I’d prefer to pay 50-100k more per player and to have someone I’d be content having sitting in my mid come the end of the season.

Hindsight will tell us who is right/wrong

North Melb.
I need to trade Rowell to a premium defender to avoid a donut. Stuck between Ridley + 185k vs Lloyd + 60k.

Was originally sold on Ridley as the “value” option.

However, as I’m likely to pick up Day and Simpson next week, I will have Ridley + ~400k compared to Lloyd + ~275k in the bank after these double downgrades.

Is it worth holding the extra 125k?

Depends what your other lines look like, if you take all the value options and lack some of the heavy hitters you’ll struggle. If you have all the big boys then value seems the most likely route to success this season IMO.

Trades done.

Rowell to Whitfield.
B. Williams to Aarts, moving Hill from the fwd to back line.

Since I had the E ons Starcevich, it means I am rolling the dice on Aarts scoring more than his 31, feeling confident. Famous last words.

Think I'll have to bring in Yeo - I know it seems to be the trend, but his value will allow me the cash to fix up Ceglar next week. Otherwise Parker would be a solid POD.

Treloar would have been my pick but finished work too late to bring him in.

@Juzzo What's the news on Ben Davis? Is he likely to get a game anytime soon, or should I ditch him?

Will be bringing in Rankine, for Budarick or Davis.

I know Budarick needs to go, but have got Brander out as well, and the forward line is looking pretty thin.

Any feedback on any of this would be great. Thanks dudes.

I have Davis on my bench since R1. I don't know why he is out of favour atm. Was on the emergency list last week or week before. Not on emergency list this week. Sorry, not much help. @Herbie66 or @Blaze @Drew may have some more info.

Whitfield V Yeo

Will very likely bring the other one in over the next two weeks. Basically comes down to who scores more in the next two weeks.

Who are the Cows again ? Think they are going for a club record 9 losses in a row today.

Nah no idea , 4 changes and he couldn't get a look in and with Stengle straight back in doesn't seem he is in the mix.

Murphy & Tex due back next week , not sure how far Fog is away from returning.

In this weeks episode of ‘*** are you doing IDIG’, I’m going with:

Out: Rowell, Hanners
In: Yeo, Sheed o_O

Yeo would’ve been Ryan if McInerney was named so would’ve been even more poddy. Was also considering Ross and Gresham this week so happy I landed on the WC boys who should score more.
