Is no Lachie Jones (hope we know if injured or not), considering Danger/Tex out.

Two of Oliver, Walsh and Neale.

A lot to ponder now.

Hope that Flynn gets more than one game and boost midfield? If so...
Lachie Neale? 50k in the bank
- Clark to Jones
- Warner to Neale
Jackson Macrae/Jack Steele?
- Guldin to Jones
- Warner to Macrae/Steele

OR bring in Grundy this week and forget about ever having ruck issues, while also keeping Flynn for money:
Guldin to Jones
Warner to Grundy

Which path would you take?
I'm in the same boat. I was all set to bring Grundy in this week as he looks like having a massive month but it means Flynn on the bench vs a potato on the ground. Take your pick of the half a dozen potatoes in my team. I was also hoping to use Phillips and Gulden/Warner to bring in Grundy but they all decided to do the exact opposite of what I wanted. The only other player who nominated themselves to be traded is Ridley.
From the players of my interest, the only one I can get with Phillips and Warner is Neale. If I'm staring at a donut in the backline I might still use Ridley to get Oliver.
Don't know if my rambling has answered your question.

Who is your R3? If they are not playing, put Flynn on the bench with the E and if you really don't like his score, go for Grundy.

Id be surprised if Whitfield didn't play down back, especially with their lack of experience in defence right now, it's essentially a bunch of kids running the ball out of the back half.
To be fair the two kids doing most of the work are very high draft picks with bright futures in the roles so I don't expect them to mess with it. I think Whitfield, assuming he's fit, will play as a roaming wing as he mostly has the past couple of years, they need him as a target up the field more than a rebounder and him kicking towards the forward half instead of the likes of Hopper, Ward and Taranto would make a massive difference to their overall ball movement.

Giants aren't really doing a lot of sensible things with their selections though right now. Their best midfielder is playing forward, their best intercept defender is on a wing, their best small forward is playing midfield, they're playing their ruck coach instead of developing their future ruck stocks and it goes on.

Personally expect that Whitfield will replace Stone in the side and rolewise. He's just going to be a lot better at this stage in the role.

Is Jake Lever an option for Howe?
Yes but I'm not sure he's not an unnecessary level of risk, he's extremely unique and May has been out the last couple of weeks who will impact him to a degree at least and it's worth noting that Melbourne haven't faced any really decent sides, especially in the forwards stakes, and that the only side that even "kind of" has two KPFs he scored 53 against. Freo and the Hawks literally looked like they were kicking to him, GWS don't even have a KPF to the point that an undersized midfielder is their main marking target and a 175cm jockey sized guy is their secondary target and Geelong are so one dimensional that he just stood in front of Hawkins and intercepted all day.

Having thrown the negatives, he's still scoring great and unique can be good as long as it works. To be honest though it reminds me of a few years back when Tom Jonas was a legitimate premium for half the season before they started to face some stronger sides and he got stuck in non-favourable matchups where he had to defend more and his scoring fell back more towards what the role generally scores. Reckon he's a 90 type more likely than a 100 type but if you feel strongly about him you should back it in.

Is Cripps to Oliver a waste of a trade? Oliver will be a reasonable price this week and Cripps has drifted into that horrible space where he is not doing badly enough to trade out but not good enough to keep.

I am considering

B Campbell to L Jones via Sharp
Cripps to Oliver

With Ridley out I am looking at a donut unless I get bench coverage. Sharp to the mids hooks up with Laird in defence as well. It is a risk given Port play Sunday against StK. I have a trade plan for the next few rounds and either no other premiums are affordable this round or I want to wait a few more rounds to bring them in (eg Dusty). I have 24 trades left.

Campbell + Warner > Oliver + L Jones
T Phillips + Berry > Oliver + L Jones

Which option would you choose?
T Phillips + Berry > Oliver + L Jones for mine.

Phillips has a BE of 90, is not going to average high enough to be a fwd premium/keeper this year. Berry has said he is sore, scores haven't been good lately & a real chance he is rested this week.

Before last week's score of 50, Warner went 86,112 & 94. His BE is in the 50's this week, plenty of money for him still to make. I wouldn't be trading him this week. Campbell has been a little underwhelming so far but BE is in the 50's also & does have a great role.
I would actually go option 1.
Have a look at the Hawks draw coming up, If Phillips is going to put up some decent numbers the time is coming.

Neale vs Mitchell is the question.
One has a 98 BE the other a 139BE but Mitchell in Tassie vs the Crows could put in his first big score.
Either way both are coming in for me this week and next.

I have already traded him out and missed his first price rise ..but I think i have to trade bergman back in! He's got job security for the next month and a nice role. He just needs to shank a few less kicks and he will score well
