Going Pickett to Parsons (or Black).

Should I go with my other trade.

Beams to Bont (20k in bank) or
Beams to EVW (500k in bank for double upgrade next week)- Hampton for cover

Seriously considering just copping a Nank donut and going Beams and Parsons for EVW and Parsons, this gives me 585k to spend next week and will likely go Otten and SPP for Danger and Dusty/Bont

Everybody assuming Parsons will play, may throw a few plans out if he dosent.

Like a lot people, Beams has changed my trades.
I'm still going double down, but I was going to have to trade out 1 Rookie, that would probably beat his B/E.

Now I'm looking at:

Eddy ---> Black

Beams ---> EVW/McNiece/Parsons

Will give me around $800k in the bank to play with.

I'm still not sold on Black's js. Any rookies we trade in now really have to be playing in the bye rounds otherwise we may struggle to get 18 on the park.

After a quick look think I will paint the fence in the backline so no Black/Parsons for me.

Out Macreadie and Marchbank for McNiece, ahead of EVW only on price and Simmo.

Looks like a Carlton bias, I try to avoid this but I suppose it is two blues out for one in so the bias is lessened.
"Reverse changes"

Have to wait for teams to drop now I think.

I hear you. Here's my logic, and I'm hoping any Geelong supporters will correct me, if I'm wrong.

Black missed the first week of the season, played one game in the VFL, and was put straight into the seniors.
He took 8 marks, had 22 disposals (at 81% DE) and kicked a goal.
The fact he missed a week, was given one week in VFL, and then put straight into the Seniors, to me implies he's part of their plan.
The Harry Taylor playing forward experiment isn't working, and while not overly tall, Black can play 3rd Tall Fwd when required.
We know Geelong like to structure up tall Fwds to help Tomahawk, so I think Black will be ok JS-wise, while he is giving them that 3rd option.
Remember, there isn't as much required from a 3rd option, as there is from the first 2 options.

That's what I'm hoping, anyway.

Don't think it really matters.. Pendles score 143 and 163 last year against us
That's because last year Curnow tagged Treloar and didn't even go near Pendles.

And yes, both times last year.

You'd think they will tag the more in-form and damaging player this year.

I would've thought Curnow tagging Pendles this week would be pretty likely.

They need to do something, he's averaged 147 in his last 4 against the Blues.

So we should be expecting another Treloar stinker this week... *facepalm*
Feel like Pendles has a little bit of the 'untaggables' about him. Similar to Bont.

Plus, despite high scores last year from Pendles, didn't the Treloar tag prove successful for the team in the end in one of them? And almost in the other

No-one is untaggable, I'd say Pendles is on the taggable side.

It's been quite simple this year.

If Pendles dominates, we win.

If Pendles plays in a mediocre manner, Treloar can have 38 touches 2 goals and we will still lose.

Last year Treloar was probably the most damaging inside mid in terms of metres gained, this year he hasn't utilised his run effectively at all despite not being tagged.
