Don't get me started.... :D
I am resigned to upgrading rookies around him at the present and hoping for another spike score in the meantime.
It's a good approach. The net premium effect is the same, his price is unlikely to drop and you leave the opportunity open forn him to provide more value.

This is my strategy for injured premiums as well. The only caveat is this works well when there are only 2 trades available but with the boost, it opens you up to potentially falling behind. I still think it is the better way to look at trading.
Initially this was my plan before the 45 and Cowan, Davey and Phillips ommitted joining loops in Constable, Madden and Roberts. Feel a bit more safer with Phillipou on the mid bench and a dual position swing open with Davey and Roberts considering Sturt and Johnson are the other bench players for those lines and with concerns around Laird and Brayshaw. Wilmot is the only other bench option with trade value but prefer to either hold a round longer for Cincotta or trade a fwd/mid bench player if needed next round.

The plan from the start with the likes of Horne-Francis, Flanders, Fyfe and Bruhn and Sheezel from F2-F6 was to try to assess the best fwd options or dual position additions, whilst hopefully all outperforming their price allowing for a quick swing around the RD6-RD8 range. Only Horne-Francis fulfilled the brief with Allen and Daniels who were next on the pecking order showing up all of them. Fully expecting JHF to return to a three round average of mid eighties again with a ton tonight. :ROFLMAO:

So it's been confirmed Cowan won't be the sub, but Davey has been omitted and could be the sub. Should I trade out Davey instead of Cowan? Similar prices, averages and BE.
Is Davey likely to get back in the team? Could wear the sub risk if he might still have cash gen left in him soon.

I have gone Davey (trading) over Cowan. Davey omitted, Cowan rested. And yes the sub is a risk to consider.

Davey is a tough one, as he isn’t the sort of guy that’s going to ‘boss’ a game with lots of possessions or 4-5 goals in a match. He is however a quality user of the ball which means whatever he does is usually scored well.

My problem with him at the moment is he didn’t really insert himself into the game often enough against Collingwood which would help to get those 50-70 point scores that will tick his price over.

That said, I can see him being selected sporadically and he could be kept until after rd12, which is when I’d prefer to move him on.

Well LDU has to go. I have the feeling 1 week will turn into 3 and with his total lack of interest in searching for the sherrin i am not holding.

so these are the Trades under consideration.

LDU to Neale / Cowen to Seamus

LDU to Cogs / Cowen to Seamus - Allows McKenna to Sicily next week.

leaning to option 2

Similarly, Richards and Setterfield survive another week due to other players injuries.

LDU, Cmac & Ginbey
To
Macrae, Day and Mitchell
Yep. You don't have to be the fastest guy in the jungle to avoid being eaten by the tiger. Second slowest will do.

Pretty sure that's what JHF has been telling Richards behind my back

Option 2 for me too. That 76 will be staying in Neale's score till after the 176 has gone and you should get him on the cheap. Cogs is due to rise the next couple of weeks. Same with Sicily

Would've said that Neale is more of a pod than Cogs but both about 36/37%
Cogs gives you more options next week with the extra $$ 130K is some coin to play with!

Yes, Sicily next week got my attention.

Some UBERS on the way down so i will wait.
Gawn
Mills
Brayshaw
Steele
Got my 1 eyed patch on Steele for sure! :p
Marshall to Gawn could be tempting. But Marshall is a Saint! lol damned if you do and if you don't when it comes to your own team players'! lol
Brayshaw could be a problem with that knee, too much risk there I think!

Have made one trade this round (McKenna to S.Mitchell) and banked the cash. I could force an upgrade (Oliver/Laird) using a boost but I'm not too keen on getting Cincotta early so will wait on him. Also, not really convinced on Sturt either.

It's so tempting to force the trades but I have T.Green and W.Day coming back into the team after their suspensions, and feel Wilmot/Ashcroft can make a bit more cash. So my gut feeling is just do the one trade this round and hold fire for next week. Here's hoping! 🤞

Callum Mills @ 552k or James Sicily @ 533k? Might take a stab on a fallen premium.

Don't mind either but Mills for me. Watching very keenly, outside chance of DEF status too if the Swans backline problems continue.
Are you waiting a week? Seems due for a big score even though he hasn't shown it so far, and with two previous seasons of 115, seems the quintessential buy low.
