OMG yes this site is back! Finally!! What happened?!
I was trying to clear my browser cache and everything else yesterday to see if it was only an issue that I had!!

Felt kinda lonely watching the Dogs vs. Tigers game last night but regardless what a crazy start! Didn't have the VC on Macrae or Dusty but I'm just glad I've got them both! And a Pickett ton!
Not too concerned about B.Smith yet, think Macrae took most of his possessions!

Still need to finalise my the trades for this round. I'm at a crossroads of what to do haha

Not sure how far away Astbury , Caddy , Nank & Prestia are away from returning , Houli back against the Suns.

With Balta doing a decent job I doubt we'll see Astbury in this block of games,had slight setback after surgery
Caddy either,still a good 3 games away
Nank & Prestia are miles off,Houli news has been rumour only,doubt it's in next 2 weeks

Yes I read that too & assume that's the plan.
But I also read he was staying in Melbourne with his new born,no-one knew his mother was in hospital so it's a fairly fluid situation

Close a better option.?

At this stage , Close is my preferred rookie option (don't need a defensive downgrade so haven't really considered Watson (might need to do some Freo research) , will be upgrading both Brander & Noble in the next 2 rounds to complete my defence).

Depending what Brisbane offers up I could delay Close to next week instead and go Bell/Taylor instead.

Or if De Koning and/or Draper are named my thinking could change again.

I didn't see it but you would assume it would be likely if he's flying to Qld.

I am only now just realising how challenging the coming weeks will be from a SC perspective in terms of planning and executing trades. This will especially be the case for rookies and players with injuries where we rely on team announcements to proceed with confidence. Seems we will need to fly blind and trade on hope and trust in many cases... I can see this is all going to end in tears (probably mine)

Expect Skinner to play also, with both them in for McStay and Archie Smith.
Will be interesting come next week, if both put in decent debuts, which one holds their spot when McStay returns from suspension.

Ah yes, good point. Looks as though we will need to grab one of them after a price rise then, if at all.

Watson came in for Cox from memory , not sure how far away Hamling (season) , Pearce (no time frame given) & Logue are away ?

Think they have 8-12 out though so too hard to predict when they are all coming back and how they move the magnets.

Watson might be better after the Bye if he is still in the side.

With a 49 he may not rise too much anyway.

We won’t see hamling, Pearce or logue again this season. Cox a reasonable chance to return this week, not sure if that will be at the expense of Watson. As you say, freo have so many injuries it is pretty hard to keep up with selections

Listening on the radio Monday night they were saying missing between 8-12 of your best 22.

With the Bye coming up as well , Watson might still be a option to bring in Round 11 (if he has kept his place) if people need him.

Reading the chat on Watson with interest - going to have to make a call on Ling vs Watson before the Freo team is announced. What do you reckon - take Ling or is Watson worth waiting on?
