I changed my mind from Mitchell to Lloyd.

Kosi to Lloyd funded by Powell to Poulter.

Next week I think Bailey Williams will make his way into my side. I literally haven't looked at byes yet!

Could do 1 up and 1 down but I think long run better for 2 down this week.
kosi > poulter with laird going back and reopening DPP with sharp.

Then gulden > RCD. Had thought about maybe Warner instead of gulden but not 100% sure.

Leaves me with 400k. Which will get gawn in when he bottoms out either next or week after. And an A grade mid in.

I think I am resolved to going two down too and suffering the short term pain for hopefully, long term gain

Had been pretty content to go:

Chapman/Stephenson > Poulter/Zorko

But I think I will go

Chapman/Stephenson > RCD/Poulter which will leave me 570k in the kitty with an eye to setting myself up to make some aggressive trades over the bye rounds. Just got to hope the rookies can deliver and I can somewhat maintain my 1,200ish rank.

Team this week is looking like this

Not sure whether to do 1 upgrade & 1 downgrade or just 2 downgrades this week. 20 trades remaining with 55k in bank.

Gonna carefully take a look at the rookies in my team.

Def:
Murphy (L.Jones, Highmore)

Mids:
Powell, Jordon, A.Scott, (McNeil, Gulden, Sharp)

Rucks:
(Flynn)

Fwds:
Warner, Bergman, Jones (McCreery, Brockman)

Powell and Jordon have been the best rookies so definitely holding for now. Holding Flynn until the BYES unless I'm desperate for cash.
The cash gen is still going for Scott, McNeil, Bergman & Jones so have to hold!

Could go Gulden & Warner to RCD & Poulter. Or Gulden & Warner to RCD & and any player up to 540k.

@Darkie, @Herbie66, @XabiFernando
Hey lads, reckon Poulter is a must have? His heat map shows he was mainly playing a role in the defensive half at the weekend. Does he have strong enough JS to play until the BYES? If I bring him in I would have 3 Collingwood rookies in my team but worried he'll get dropped when Howe comes back.
Also worried McCreery might get dropped before he's made enough $$$ to warrant a trade out (similar to Brockman just sitting on my bench).
Sorry about the slow response. I don’t profess to have massive insights into a lot of Pies players, but I plan to get him this week, and know some smart coaches (and Pies fans) who are doing the same.

19 trades and 100,100 ITB

Stewart, Laird, Short, May, Daniel, L Ryan, (Highmore, Mansell)

Macrae, Oliver, Merrett, Taranto, Jelly, Powell, Jordon, Robertson (Scott, Berry, Sharp)

Gawn, Grundy (Flynn)

Ziebell, Impey, Dusty, Walker, Warner, Bergamn (Rowe, Fullarton)

Clearly Walker has to go.

Options:

A. Walker and Berry to Poulter and RCD leaves $487,300 ITB

or

B. Walker and Berry to Poulter and Titch leaves $85,400 ITB (swings Robertson fwd)

This is of-course under the assumption that one of L Ryan/Mansell play, if not Ryan, might have to go.

Opinions?

Cheers TE, now I really don't know where to go.

The word 'setback' on the post in the injury thread really has me un-nerved, lol. Generally means longer time out and he wil have already missed 3 including this week, he might need some of that stuff that Hickey got

I would cut Highmore for Byrne to allow you to keep Ryan. For the second trade probably Berry to RCD.

Cheers SIL, but Walker is out and I think he needs to be traded as a priority. I will hold Ryan as long as Mansell plays, but don't really want the 0 unless, so will trade Ryan if necessary (if Mansell is out too), but Walker is a bigger problem than Highmore at the moment.

Can you do Highmore > Bryne, and then Walker > Titch? My calculations show that you could be a little short for that.

Otherwise how about grabbing Zorko against GC? Cheapest Zorko will be for awhile, and he looks like a reliable top 6 forward option. Also no Touk Miller this week.

Sweating on these team announcements. I thought my backline was donut-proof, but here we are with both Ryan (definite) and Houston (maybe?) out and I could be eating a double glazed confection if I don't trade one of them out. Ryan is sort of my own fault because I picked him even though he had calf issues pre-season, the thinking was he is too young for this to be a chronic issue but here we are.

I like the idea of a double down for a lot of teams, given RCD's JS is on the up and up, less so in my position because of the above and also because it would just leave too much cash on the sideline for my team.

This dead period in the middle of the week before team announcements and the games themselves sucks TBH.

Tex to Poulter
Kosi to Harmes.

Very sideways, but gives me 245k for an easy upgrade next week.
Thinking Harmes role will be pretty solid until Viney returns.
Already a RCD owner.

Actually Walker being out is a small blessing if you're not relying on a warm body.
Being out freezes his price, so he's not going to lose more $$ this week.

This seems like a waste of cash gen from Walker IMO, why not go to another premium like a Lloyd, Mills, Stewart type as Harmes just seems like another eachway bet.

I'm not sold Harmes is a top 6 let alone top 10 defender even from here on in.

Yep. Can afford Mills but then I'm broke.
Punting on Harmes to throw out a few consistant 90's, and then there is the current B/E of 9. Could make 35k this week.
Did consider Mills but heading the Harmes plus 250k in the bank scenario.
Gives me Powell to Oliver next week.

If looking for a potential bargain D6, I think Darcy Moore (365K) is a much better chance than Harmes.

Moore started the season with scores of 118 and 119 in defence and scored 130 when moved back to defence last week after the failed experiment of him playing forward for a few weeks. Bucks said in a presser they are going to keep him in defence from now on, he is an elite intercept defender/ one of the best in the league so I can't see him being moved especially with Jeremy Howe out for the season also.

Thoughts on Titch at 525k this week vs Petracca at 528k next week?

It would be Titch this week + Ridley next week vs Ridley this week + Petracca next week

Depends on your bye structure also - Titch has the bye round 12, Petracca has the dreaded round 14 bye which so many other premiums have also.
