Pretty safe bet. Longer quarters help him. He's actually the guy I think people sleep on, wouldn't take much for him to jump to 115, super durable (1 game missed since 2012, 5 from clocking Brayshaw). He's that safe as houses M8 type who certainly could jump to and M4 level without much.

By this logic, does he not make far more sense as an upgrade target? You're basically saying you'll ride the bad part and then have no advantage when everyone gets him cheaper.
Fair Call on Titch, may start with Zerritt.M3

And don't forget the back issues that sidelined him for most of the season.
He'll improve but durability is certainly an issue, I think he could be a sneaky good forward but he's totally unproven and his scoring has been pure clearance work previously, detests a cheap touch.

Basically it would be pretty shocking if he suddenly became a keeper this year after last year and having never done it through his prime before the back injury which means he's a cash cow that doesn't make enough cash. At least Taranto, Daicos, Prestia or even Sloane and Yeo in his rough price bracket either have youth or premium scoring histories behind them.

Ultimately I just think you're better spending 450k range money on a back or forward if you're punting in that price range. I think Wingard, Greene, De Goey, Heeney et al are far more likely to hit premium numbers simply because the threshold is 10-15 points lower. Backs not quite as much but Houli, Williams, Witherden, McEvoy, Duggan et al at east have cases and the threshold is still 5-15 points lower as well. Getting to the 105+ range of being an M8 and realistically 110+ for a good M8 is just such a big leap compared to getting to 95-100 range for F/D6. Obviously if you have different reads on the positions that changes things.

Going pretty safe this year in the middle

Oliver and Macrae at m1 and m2 definite top 3/5 mids
Starting dusty at m3 knowing he’ll be a top 6 forward and will flick him there when the cows moo

Cripps m4 and Rowell m5
Cripps is a 110 guy and will be around that mark again. Rowell I’m not expecting 110+ I think he’ll be around 102-108 and that’s fine for an m8
With Heppell at m6 it’s deep enough and allows me to have the big guns in Gawn and Grundy along with the seagull down back to start

Will be targeting neale as my first upgrade target and feel he will be gettable at 650k in the first 8 rounds especially with the lack of pre season it seems he’s having
Seems like pretty much the opposite of going it safe.

Oliver looks like a really safe pick but after that it's filled with question marks to be honest, it's deep though.

It's interesting that you don't want to pick Neale to save 70K but have no problems paying 495K for someone who has only played 5 games.

Way to risky a selection in the MIDS, ill be taken a punt in the FWD line. And for some reason my eye keep stopping on Scimshaw in DEF But with only (1) pre season game most likely not.

Mitchell and Crouch are locked in at M1 and 2 for me, provided they both get up for round 1. Not worried about the interrupted preseasons.
Think Macrae is will be hurt by playing on the wing more, guessing around 112-115ppg which is still great.
Josh Kelly is my fallback in case Titch or Crouch don't get up.
Thinking similarly on Mitchell if he lines up in rd 1. Currently have Kelly, but am going to have another look at Crouch, always worry about Kelly's durability and the role might differ a little this year.
