Interested on peoples thoughts on Matt Crouch?

Came home in the second half of the season with an average of 123.5. His brother leaving means there is one less quality mid to be rotating through taking his points. Was surprised when I checked his age and he is only turning 26 this year. Has he had a full pre-season?
I’m a crows fan and I don’t like his kicking efficiency. Great contested ball winner, but king of the short ineffective handpass when he does get it.

Hasn't stopped him scoring phenomenally in the past, he just hasn't ever sustained it for a season!

Heppell I think is the best of the cheap midfielders. Highest proven scoring ability, lowest price gives him the biggest window to fail but still work. You go to those 450k guys and they have to be premiums. Heppell averages 95 and he's a solid rookie choice. Durability a mess the last little bit though and haven't heard a lot of positive talk, was an interview of his I saw that mostly seemed to talk about struggling with it and learning to deal with it.

Collingwood star Taylor Adams has been hit with a hamstring injury.
While the severity of the injury is unclear, Adams will now need plot a path back to full fitness ahead of the Pies’ one and only official pre-season game against Richmond on March 5.

Crap :(

The Dunkley/Treloar situation is hilarious to me. How many mids who excel at racking up possessions rather than playing a role or sacrificing their stats for the team do you need? We've seen it so many times. Macrae (serial offender) and co get 1324134 possessions, the opposition are happy to let them and the Bulldogs lose. But their mids and Caleb Daniel win on the stats sheet

But hey they're versatile. I'm not sure that they are, really. Aside from Dunkley in the ruck being effective around the ground, the results of most of their attempts at playing these mids elsewhere have rarely been great unless Bevo's still dining out on moving Boyd to half back.

The 1-2 punch of him and Laird pumped out some massive numbers after Laird's rolechange.

From round 9 onwards Crouch went at 118.8 and Laird went at 118.1.
Great little stat that one SS, thanks!

That being said though, the Crows were “Better” in the second half of the year. (Them being abysmal in the first half meant there was only one way - up).

Are we being too quick to disregard players like Titch and Danger? They may start slower and drop a bit of $$ but you could say all the top premiums will also drop some $$ from inflated points/prices.

They both have nice early draws and I keep coming back to them.

Titch had shoulder surgery last October and Danger carrying a groin injury.... maybe that was a poor choice of words.
Hopefully the Community Series should illuminate their match fitness.

I’ve found myself upgrading dusty to titch
if I need the funds for a few better rookies I’ll just go back to dusty but it just feels so good having titch at m3 knowing he’ll still average 110+ and play every game. He’s still doing all the running. He played through the injury last year and averaged 113 ***. Now it’s pain free he’ll be even better

Interesting article about Rowell :-

Matt Rowell (GC $495,100)

120, 167, 189, 111, 147, 128, 146, 129, 177, 152, 266, 80, 172, 142, 114, 6.

They are Matt Rowell’s KFC SuperCoach scores in his past 16 games covered by Champion Data at any level.

The 266-point performance was his last in the NAB League and the 172-point score was his second AFL game.

But his most recent score of six may be the most relevant when looking ahead to 2021.

Before the injury against the Cats in Round 5, Rowell averaged an extraordinary 124 points in the opening four games of his career.

That sort of figure would usually price him around the $670k mark.

But after missing the rest of the season – and with the six-point score included in his 2020 average – Rowell is priced at an average of 92.

Rowell used his time-off to study the game further and looks set to return even stronger in 2021.

We know this kid is an absolute freak, if he plays in the preseason games & looks in great nick he is going to be very hard to resist despite the small sample size/ coming off shoulder surgery.

I was completely blown away by his game v WCE in round 2 last year :-
26 disposals at 80.8 per cent efficiency, 14 contested possessions, seven tackles and two goals - all team highs - as well as five clearances.

Just an astounding display, one of the most impressive games I have seen over the last few years.

Opinions on Treloar seems to have the most secure role at the dogs and could very easily benefit from the added support though I could be overrating this pick just because I see a f*** you Bucks game in Round 1.
